hello, i had a cool simple subclass design it could be like a flavored beastmaster were instead its based on being able to summon a skeleton companion that scales with player and other idk skeleton themes it would be pretty cool to make if u do make this idea thank u a good name would be grave keeper ranger
Hi ! I like your mod, more custom undead summons for a necromancer is always welcome, however I have sevral advices to make them better after testing your mod. I mostly thought by comparing to the crawling claws from the dread overlord mod. So firstly, I don't know if it's a bug, but both hands are often stuck behind and don't follow me, when I summon them at the beginning of the day I'm almost certain they won't be here. I tried to control them myself to see what was wrong and it seems if the floor isn't flat they have a really hard time to follow, maybe something in the code but they won't walk past stairs or even small slopes (even the ones where you don't need to jump). So this in particular made me stop using them :/. Also, they are really slow, it's the same feeling as spiritual weapon which is certainly cool but never manages to go near ennemies in bg3, a game where ennemies are very far away and without fly it can be annoying, the hands don't have range attacks so it's a must that they have more speed. The dread overlord mod also gives them fire immunity for the numerous fire spots but the crawling claws only have 3 hp so it's just so they wouldn't die everywhere for no reason, idk yet if 10 hp is enough to compensate. Finally, maybe makign their summons a bonus action would be better, as it's not spammable anyway in battle, and it doesn't change anything outside of battle, but at least you could summon them in battle if they're far away and/or didn't follow. Anyway, keep up the good work ! :)
This is probably a me thing but when I summon them they dont have their custom skills, dunno what's causing that since I tried just only this mod and still does it.
ah alright but does that also give casamir their bandage around the hand? (it’s missing for me) also sedrick having a rainbow texture glitch around the wrist.
I look forward to eventually receiving an "immersive world placement" version of the mod. In the mean time, it's been added as an optional mod for Listonomicon. The little hands are very neat, and I'm excited to see how AI-controlled summons mod + dropping a high level Aid spell to buff their HP helps them perform later into the game.
I know this was made for personal use and you're just sharing it with us, so don't misinterpret my request as saying there's anything wrong with the mod. But would you consider a version where the items to summon the hands were distributed somewhere in the world so it is more immersive and interesting for someone who does not desire finding them right away for free? For example if one was found in the chest with Withers and one was in the trap tomb as part of the same dungeon, those would be plausible (and early) locations to acquire them.
I like that idea, I'll take a look and see if I can figure out how to have them found in the world. If I can get it done I'll upload an alternate file.
@envelopingICE I had the same thought sitting bored at work today. It would make sense to find one of them for the same reason / in the same area as Shovel / something related to that guy. Perhaps where the glowing gem is found so that one of the hands is (at least) locked behind the Phase Spider Matriarch fight.
