      Shields still impose disadvantage since i dont have proficiency with them, is that intended?

    I mean, it kinda makes sense doesn't it? Medium and Heavy armor I can see needing special training and effecting movement speed and all that.

    But Light Armor? Which has always been portrayed as stuff like leather jackets or chain shirts? Stuff that is basically just slightly tougher regular clothes? That can be slipped on as easily as any piece of clothing? Why does it penalize anything?
