Sorry for the necro, I know you made this quite a bit ago but I'm curious how your run went with this setup. I'm thinking of running this as a Durge for that Deathstalker Mantle invis bonus.
Also wondering if this would remove the mage hand legerdemain or if everything here is in addition to that little quirk. Not the most useful of abilities but it comes in ... handy.
Sry for late reply. It worked quite well, though I am biased. Since I know how to exploit certain aspects I went hard on the hold person/monster which when used with enough spell dc + magical ambush trivializes a lot of fights, but hey, that's also part of the fun for some.
All base spells are still there, though Magical ambush was moved as mentioned in description.
It's an easy edit if you unpack the mod file yourself, max 15 min. Just edit two files, the progression file that shows what the character gets at every level (simply space out what spell level AT gets per level, and what spell level they get), and the classdescription file, where you change the multiclass progression value from 1 to 0.5.
Edit: Though, you would also have to edit the actual spells they get per level, but that's also done in the progression file for AT. The actual values are there in the file, since as a half caster you would only want to go up to the spell list for third level spells
well, that makes sence? i mean like, AT and EK dont really need high level spells in bg3, cus they're half martial half caster, which means theyre just using spells to make up with the features other same class subclasses have D: they just need more 1-3 level spell slots for utility spells
This will depends a lot on your playstyle, since in 5.0 they limited the spell schools and the access to the higher level spells the classes feel very restriced and dumified, not to mention the removal from sneack attacks from spells with attach rolls
weird idea, is going invisible as a reaction possible?like a high level feat, 3 round cooldown, go invisible for 1 round when an enemy tries to attack you, applying disadvantage on the enemy's attack and advantage on your next attack roll
Archfey Warlock can go invisible on reaction after hit, however getting a 3 round cooldown might be a pain to get working, since cooldown parameters are basically "perTurn", "perCombat", etc. If I remember correctly.
actually invisibility for just one round would actually do well, i dunno, like a one round cooldown? just imagine an arcane trickster going invisible in the enemy's plain sight then jumping out of no where to stab them in the back
Thanks, but that would just be too ugly in terms of design for me. If you really want to have it on another class I'd recommend just adding the spell in their class progression like I did with Arcane trickster. With the mod toolkit it's really not that much of a pain.
well, magical ambush + hold person/monster is standing right there :). So I would personally focus more heavily on int since you can't miss when they are paralized. DC boosting gear first, rogue gear second. And if you really want to build around that sweet combo, then you could go for Bhaalist Armour. Crit + Vulnerable + Sneak attack and you can easily jump over 100 in damage on 1 attack.
Just what I'll be doing though, as long as you are having fun anything is good :)

You could easly be a full caster in 3.5 or now in pathfinders :)
That way other class could also benefit from it.
Pretty please !
What whould you recommend as proper gear for this class? An INT and DEX heavy loadout?
