Hi I was wondering if you are going to update this mod for Patch 8? I loaded this mod and the game just freezes around 93%. It would be appreciated if you can thank you.
Hi, I love this mod as well as your other Warhound mods and I was curious how you went about making this mod in terms of tools/ tutorials. I would like to make an add-on for personal use that adds a Chauchat in place of the burst caliver for a more dieselpunk look but I am not sure how to do that so it works with the Warhound's class abilities. If you have any advice or guidance I would be extremely appreciative.
you can either just replace the existing .GR2 model(s) and associated textures or make a new weapon that's tagged as Loading and Light
the former route sounds like what you might be looking for but might still need Toolkit since I used virtual textures
you might also be able to get away with unpacking the .pak file and hand-editing the root template and material .lsx files (after converting from .lsf if needed, then converting .lsx back to .lsf) to point to your new model with textures, but the amount of poking around and trial and error if doing that for the first time probably isn't worth it
This Mod is amazing! it is super fun to use and feels VERY impactful on every shot, the sound design is impeccable.
I was wondering if it would be possible to be able to change its damage type in game? Like having a "flamethrower" or "Arc-Cannon" would be the coolest for different builds
Oddly, the weapons are not tagged as Ranged so they don't work with things like Bard shots, Sneak Attack, Fighter Maneuvers, or Gunslinger shots (that one is a mod obviously, but I figured I'd include it).
I did do this on purpose since all alternate attacks and arrow attacks still use vanilla vfx and furthermore don't take after the movement costs for the main attacks
definitely not ideal I acknowledge, but, for now, that's working as intended
it is mentioned in the description but ig not all that visible, I'll prolly bold it to draw more attention to that

93% hangup is a different problem with the base game on certain mods for some users and a republished update on my end won't fix it
If you're able to do that then open a bug report to Larian directly because I don't think they've even acknowledged the loading hangup as an issue yet

some ability like Horde Breaker didn't think caliver as ranged weapon
