    The mods great, but it has 2 major flaws that needs a patch badly, it makes playing the class cumbersome more often than not.

    1.) some of the blood spells (mostly AoE types) have a penalty of harming the caster for every "enemy" hit. however, the author didnt make it so that clutter objects (barrels, food, torches, weapons on the ground, an allys magical structure such as ice wall, damn near everything basically lol) are also included in the calculation as "enemies" therefor using a AoE spell in an environment with even moderate amounts of clutter will almost always one shot kill your sorcerer with their own spells, even if u take the damage mitigation step of inflicting bleed on yourself to roughly quarter the damage u take its STILL not enough, even with absurd amounts of HP. i used blood rain inside last light inn once and dealt over 200 damage to myself, its absurd, glass cannon build is fine. shattered glass cannon build is counter-productive

    2.) inflicting bleed on yourself shouldn't cost a bonus action, there is exactly 1 spell to force bleed on yourself given by the mod and since all the other spells play off you bleeding its almost always the very first thing you do. ffs add an option for me to prick my finger idc as long as its actionless, im already accepting the drawback of forcibly slashing open my own hand in every battle, there is no need to nerf it farther

    my constructive criticism aside the mod is still quite fun and and reasonably balanced aside from those 2 major flaws, the 1st one being by far the worst of the 2, in fact without the issue from the first one idk that the 2nd would be an issue anymore. i greatly look forward to seeing a patch to rectify these issues, because apart from them i cannot stress more how much of a blast it is playing this class. the animations are cool, the concept is awesome, and the balancing is (issues aside) quite fair.

      I killed myself many times with bloodstorm, in addition most times your bleed bleed gets 'consumed' after casting a spell forcing you to use a bonus action every turn

      The exact same just happened to me lol, threw a crimson blast at 3 goblins and died instantly even with 60 hp

      If you cast blood sacrifice before doing anything you wont die. Its just a matter of knowing how to play. Im on my third playthrough with this mod and never had any of these issues.

      Hey everyone! I’ve put together a lightweight patch mod: Anticoagulant Blood – Blood Sorcery Synergy Fix
      It adds a Level 1 passive that lets you heal without losing the Bleeding status so you don't need to cast blood sacrifice every round. It also makes using the Woe viable.

    I've been using this mod along with the Death domain cleric mod before patch 8. Decided to run it again with the new Death domain subclass, but now the Reaper feature does not work anymore even though blood sorcery cantrips are considered as Necromancy cantrips. Any workaround regarding this? Any help will be much appreciated.

    My first and only run is with this mod... Can anyone tell me if it is still working after the patch 8? :') I'm scared to open the game and find the run super bugged :'D

    Came back to bg3 after a 6 month break and this was the 1st mod I checked to see if there was an update for :(

    I like the mod but feels like it still needs a lot of work. 
    Sanguine blasts and blood storm's health penalty is waaaay too much. 

    Compare sanguine blast 10d6 vs fireballs 8d6 is only a 6 increase in damage what potentially could out right kill you (as people have noted below). They are both AOE, you're supposed to try to get as many people as possible.

    I think you should have the option to take the damage only or consume the spell slot, but definitely not both. This goes also for the spell which is basically disintegrate. 

    I'll say I do like the bleed setup mechanic, however having disadvantage on constitution saving throws on a caster is detrimental. You basically can't take concentration spells with this subclass. So maybe a 6th level ability to circumvent that penalty would be good? (Even bleeding I think makes you roll more con saves just for existing)

    In general id like to see stronger riders on the blood spells. Slow, bleed, poison, etc. 

    I'm currently playing in a campaign with this build (sanguineer subclass which can use spell points OR hp for casting spells)

    Ever heard of the path of undeath mod? Its a really nice one, but when you become undead you can't bleed. Wonder if there's a way to bypass that?

      This feature bypasses YOUR immunity too. JWL's Trinket mod had an item that gives Necrotic immunity and this Blood Sorcery feature bypassed that and did a ton of self-inflicted necrotic damage to the player.

      • Sacrificial Spell: Spells you cast and attacks you make ignore Resistance and Immunity to Necrotic damage.

    i LOVE this but also wish there was a version that was less necrotic damage focused and more piercing damage and slashing damage focused as it feels more like you would be slashing and cutting and stabbing targets with blades and spears of blood rather than their flesh melting away as they touch your blood.
