MOD IS CURRENTLY BROKEN ON PATCH 8 FOR DARK URGE PLAYTHROUGHS

LARIAN HAVE ADDED CODE TO THE GAME TO EXPLICITLY KILL ALFIRA IF A SAVE IS LOADED AFTER THE MURDER EVENT HAS TAKEN PLACE, REGARDLESS OF WHO THE VICTIM WAS. I PRESUME THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO COMBAT EXPLOITS SOME PEOPLE WERE USING TO KEEP ALFIRA ALIVE WITHOUT MODS BUT IT HAS ALSO BROKEN THIS MOD FOR THE DARK URGE.

I WILL INVESTIGATE FURTHER WHEN MOONGLASSES IS RELEASED FOR PATCH 8.

TAV OR NON-DURGE ORIGIN PLAYTHROUGHS SHOULD NOT BE AFFECTED.

Well, it inevitably happened on my Durge run. I forgot I had her in the party, loaded a save, and she's dead. I had left her in camp most of the time, but this time I could use that extra rapier (I'm playing with uncapped party size and several difficulty increasing mods). Then I just brought her back as hireling via the other mod.

Now I am thinking that actually feels right. Durge did kill her then got her back as hireling. For a resist Durge that could be seen as repentance, for a Durge embracing the heritage it could be seen as extra cruelty.

I'm sorry if this is out of line, but would it be possible to add voiced dialogue, even if it's just mild commentary, via the use of ElevenLabs?

      Sorry, but no.

Firstly working with dialogue is not my forte - I'm a scripting guy first and foremost. Secondly using AI to copy an actor's voice is a legal can of worms I'm not comfortable opening.

If you or anyone else wants to take up the challenge and make an add-on for this mod though, go for it.

Of course, fair enough. Sorry, but thanks for the reply!

Came here just to endorse and thanks. Alfira's song made me cry first time and I wished she could join. I use a mod to have more companions and seems to work with perfectly.

moon glasses is updated to patch 8, have you been able to look into it and see if it's even possible to fix this mod for durge on patch 8?

I'm waiting on a full release. As far as I know it's still in testing and suffering from crashing issues.

    ALFIRA's HORN IS GONE??

Hello: This problem arose in Patch 8.  I recruited Alfira as Dark Urge and removed her from my party when saving so she didn't auto-die.
However, she died in combat and when revived was no longer recruitable.   When I looked for her horn it was gone -- I could not find it in the
Camp Chest or on any of the party members.  Is there a way to summon  Alfira's Horn via a console command, or some other fix? I managed to
bring her to camp via "kidnapping" but that did not help.  At the  Tiefling party she just stood there and cannot be engaged in
conversation, although Lakrissa spoke to her as usual.   Any suggestions are appreciated.

So will Alfira be safe and stay alive so long as she stays in camp when saving/reloading as long as she is not a party member?

      Yes.

As soon as she joins your party dismiss her being in camp, as the horn might not work and she could get bugged and not find her way.

If you want her to be in your party, make sure you dismiss her in camp before a long rest too.

Anyone knows what happens if you manage to keep Alfira alive (by keeping her in camp) until Act III? I'm almost at Baldur's Gate, I have avoided including her in my party up til now in case she died.

Thought that maybe if she wasn't scripted dead by the last act, there's a chance Alfira doesn't die even when loading a save with her as party member?

Also, if the game autosaves with Alfira in the party does she die? or does it only happen when reloading a save?

I don't know how or why, but my Alfira not only didn't die, but the cutscene where I find her body also didn't happen. She just appeared in the camp asking to be there and then... nothing. There is blood on the ground, but there is no body, and Alfira is still there.

    Alfira the next morning

I kept trying various ways, but the game always killed her. I assume it's either the feats I gave her the night she arrived ( Immortal and Last Stand Feats from a feat mod ) or the game legit just gave up killing her and made my Resist Durge much more pleasant.

    What Happened to Alfira's Horn?

I recall that there was previously a horn that you could use to call Alfira if she got lost after you recruited her. Was that removed?  I could use something like that now because I have a living Alfira in my camp as a Dark Urge but I cannot interact with her.  I had recruited her and then she died in combat and the game separated her from my party. I revived her but it didn't help I could not longer recruit her.  And since then I cannot interact with her.  I know this is because of the Dark Urge "fix" by Larian, but I did have it working by avoiding using a saved game where is a party member.  I was hoping the horn would help but could not find it. Any advice? Thanks

You're making dreams come true with this! Just thought I'd suggest starting a fundraiser to commission a voice actor for dialogue lines, there'd be a lot of people willing to help out!
