Thank you for this great mod!! I just found out about the mod called ""Unofficial Bug Fixer" which fixes a ton of bugs including the Wild Shape Tavern Brawler bug.
However i do not know is their fix implementation the same as yours, especially for Honour mode. Can you please tell me is it safe to use both mods, or is it somehow possible to see does their mod fix TBrawler+WShape in the same way as you do?
I haven't tried that mod, but it looks like they do the same thing as this mod. I imagine you can use their mod instead of this one if you want the other fixes they have too. Or you could run both at the same time - one should overwrite the other, but since they both fix the feat it should be fine either way.
Not sure if theirs works in honour mode or not, though. You can always try it out!
ok, I got some black magic going on with this feat, mod and game's latest update.
everywhere I looked it says that Tavern Brawler adds both attack and damage to wildshapes on all difficulties except honour modem where it only adds attack.
I just tested it on Custom difficulty with Honour Mode rules and without mods the feat doesn't work at all with wildshapes. But with this mod it adds Attack bonus, but not damage.
That is strange! I just jumped onto the game to make sure, and it still appears to be working correctly in wild shape. Tested on a custom difficulty game using the honour mode ruleset, just like you.
Are you by chance using any other mods related to Wild Shape? They should work fine, but it's the only thing I can think of. That, or something that modifies feats?
yeah, I double checked my load order and it seems that Druid Wild Shape Overhaul is messing it up. I sifted through old bug reports on that mod and someone reported "too much damage from TB" as a bug, so fun police disabled it altogether
So, this is weird. But it seems to work even with Wild Shape Overhaul for me. It might be a load-order thing? Try making sure that this mod loads after Wild Shape Overhaul and see if anything changes?
Let me know if that doesn't help, maybe there's something else going on.
ok. yes, i'm the idiot, that's on me. I got used to checking Tavern Brawler on character's UI and attack buttons on my monks and it just doesn't show up there on wild shapes for whatever reason. TB does show in attack stat but not damage and that's what threw me off. But I just now figured out how to use combat log and (Tavern Brawler) bonus is being added to both attack and damage rolls.
UI is just acting weird for some reason (I tested it even with no other mods enabled, just these two). sorry and thank you for your help and your mod
It still seems to work on my end. Without the mod installed strength only applies to wild shape damage rolls once; with it installed they use strength twice to calculate damage.
Is this happening on a specific form, or all of them?
Thanks for the great mod! Can you add instructions on how to install this manually? BG3MM is a huge hassle to install on Linux/Steam Deck. Contents for the modsettings.lsx file would be highly appreciated. As the bg3.wiki states:
If the mod you are installing doesn't come with an info.json,, ask the mod author nicely to either provide one or supply the code for manual installation.
I created this mod using the modding toolkit, which never included an info.json file, so I'm not 100% sure but I think this is what you need. I pulled it out of my own modsettings.lsx file.
If I understand manual installing correctly (I've never manually installed, myself), you'll want to add this node element to your children element in the modsettings.lsx file in your profiles folder. See this page for the folder location for your system.
Oh good question, I'm not sure offhand. It's looking for the 'SG_Polymorph_BeastShape' status, so unless the slayer form is coded as that, probably not. I'll see if I can check when I have time.
Does this work properly with patch 7? I've tested it with Wild Shape in Honor Mode, and while I can get the bonus to my attack roll from Tavern Brawler, the damage isn't adding on.

I am so confused

I have been waiting for Larian to fix this bug for so many months...
Does this mod also work in custom difficulty if you select the Honor ruleset option?

Now to hope someone fixes war cleric charges for them :)
