To anyone who has download the mod.io version, is it still marked as a third-party mod for you after Hotfix #27? If not, I could try uploading a different file and maybe that one will work.
Does this also prevent you from feeding the egg to the Owlbear cub? Noticed that the egg has gone missing from my inventory (I specifically left it in a backpack), and that's the only possibility I can think of.
It should prevent that, yes, since I believe the game will choose a random camp supply during that scene. Since the egg is no longer tagged as camp supplies, it shouldn't be considered.
it sometimes allows the owl-bear cub to eat the egg on my heavily modded play-thru.
To prevent this I take the egg, place it in a chest and, place that chest into the camp chest.
After I give the owl-bear food when it comes to camp during the long rest interactive cut-scene, I place the egg back in my inventory without any issue.
@ Belinn thank you! It wouldn't have been a gamebreaker but finding out the game fed my owlbear egg to the owlbear over every other camp supply I had was doing my head in lol
If you're using BG3MM and you're playing in Patch 7, the main file would be the way to go.
The mod.io file is bigger because it has the mod's logo picture in it, but I've noticed that it won't show anyway if you're installing via BG3MM, and I think it's still marked as a third-party mod even though it was made with the toolkit. I'm guessing that maybe a future update will address that, so I provided the mod.io option just in case.

So I got the egg, installed the mod (egg was present in inventory) and now when I might need the egg I cant find it :(
It's not a story item or a unique item, so you could try spawning yourself another one with Script Extender:
TemplateAddTo("374111f7-6756-4f5f-b6e3-e45e8d25def0", GetHostCharacter(), 1)
1. Accidentally used it for long rest.
2. Elminster ate it.
3. Accidentally fed it to the owlbear cub.
Thank you for the kind comment <3
Is there any difference between the two versions if I use BG3MM?
