when i try to use any of the weapons and a shield at the same time the sword is held off to the side and behind the character. Guessing its not supposed to do that. Also none o the weapons seem to play nice with the armory outfit mod.
I'll be working on a fix for the bladesong impedement that seems to have popped up after patch 8. I was not however able to replicate your issue while dual wielding or using a shield. See the screenshots below: https://ibb.co/fz4MFL24 https://ibb.co/fz6snM8b During modding I had the Hadhafang behave similarly, even when wielded alone. I fixed the code and model rotation and on a new play-through and the error went away. I am now unsure what causes this.
Could you link the mod that mine seems to be incompatible with? I can try to understand what that is, but as with all mods. Things will break in some situations.
I fixed it, was nothing to do with your mod, was another mod causing it, would it be possible to get a version where glamdring doesn't have the electric visual effect? Or is there a way for me to unpak the file and remove that?
man what a badass mod! I'm getting an invisible Gandalf staff, is this due to a missing texture, or something? everything else i can see, just not the staff. it doesn't have an icon photo either... thanks for the hard work!!
Thanks for the feedback! Ah this is a mistake, the Staff isn't supposed to be in the release version yet. I cannot seem to be able to make it work for now.
I just realised of a great idea on how to put the three blades: Glamdring, Orcrist and Sting in the game to fit thematically and story-wise.
Make them drop from the three Ogres in the blighted village (or hide them in containers near them). This would be a perfect reference to how the three weapons were found in the troll cave in "Hobbit"!
You have no idea how much I needed this... i was thinking of making a LOTR-themed run one day and this is a perfect opportunity!
In fact, I have some notes for a potential bg3 mod with lotr-themed items and so now I'm thinking why not sharing them for you to use?
Elfstone - Rare Necklace - Grants Cure Wounds upcasted to Lv 2 once per Short Rest. Bow of the Galadhrim - Rare Longbow - Weapon Enchantment +1. Wielder gains Advantage against Shadow-Cursed creatures and against Dragons. Phial of Galadriel - Very Rare Necklace - While an enemy is within 7 ft. of the wearer, the wearer sheds bright light within 15 ft. The light is considered sunlight and each enemy that starts their turn in the light must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution Saving Throw or become Blind until the start of their next turn. Narya - Very Rare Ring - The wearer cannot be Dominated, Charmed or Frightened and has resistance to Fire damage. Allows to cast Sacred Flame at will. Nenya - Very Rare Ring - Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, Fiends and Undead have Disadvantage on attacks against the wearer. Allows to cast Dispel Evil and Good once per Long Rest. Vilya - Very Rare Ring - Grants resistance to Cold damage. Allows to cast Cone of Cold once per Long Rest. The One Ring - Legendary Ring - + Stealth. +3 Sleight of Hand. Allows to toggle Invisibility at will but at the start of each turn, while Invisible, the wearer must succeed on a DC 14 Charisma Saving Throw or go Mad for 2 turns. Black Arrow - Legendary Arrow - Attack rolls made with this piece of ammunition are always critical hits. Deals double damage to Dragons. Morgul-Knife - Very Rare Dagger - Weapon Enchantment +1. +1d4 Necrotic damage. On a Critical Hit, the target is afflicted with Morgul Shard Disease for 10 turns, giving it Disadvantage on Constitution Saving Throws. If not removed before the 10 turns pass, the target dies and a Wraith raises from its corpse under the control of the wielder. Anduril - Legendary Longsword - Weapon Enchantment +2. Deals additional 1d8 Radiant damage against Undead. Allows to cast Smite the Undead (a unique smite that deals 2d8 Radiant damage and double that against Unded) once per Short Rest and Control Undead (same ability as the one available to Oathbreakers) once per Long Rest.
and here are also my own versions for the three blades from the Hobbit, if you're curious:
Glamdring - Rare Longsword - Weapon Enchantment +1. Wielder has Advantage on attack rolls against Goblins, Hobgoblins and Half-Orcs. Orcrist - Rare Scimitar - Weapon Enchantment +1. Deals double damage to Goblins, Hobgoblins and Half-Orcs. Sting - Rare Shortsword - Weapon Enchantment +1. Deals 1d6 Poison damage against Goblins, Hobgoblins and Half-Orcs and the target must make a DC 14 Constitution Saving Throw or it becomes Poisoned for 1 turn.
Hello, I am actually working on a quite complex mod that will bring gandalf roleplaying into the table, including the walking staff, glamdring, gray robes and hat and of course the mentioned narya. The equipment is upgradable throughout the game so that you can start with the items and progress with them to the end. And there are even some custom spells. If you are ok with this, I will use your idea with the ring and add the resistance to charmed, frightened and dominated effect. For now it just adds a complete immunity to fire and a custom spell that inspires others around you, gives them temporary HP and makes them immune to fear. If you have any other ideas of what you would like to see, let me know and I will see if I can add it to the mod, but I am about 60-70% done with it as of right now.
Thanks for the recommandations! In fact I forgot to add Half-Orcs to the list for Orcrist bonus damage. I do not know how many of these items I will implement, but those are some cool ideas!
Elfstone, Bow of Galadhrim and Phial of Galadriel were gifts from Galadriel given to some of the members of the Fellowship (given to Aragorn, Legolas and Frodo respectively)
Narya, Nenya and Vilya were the three rings given to the three elven lords (Narya is now owned by Gandalf, Nenya by Galadriel and Vilya by Elrond)
Love the work, i was wondering how you got the lightning effect on Glamdring? I'm looking to specifically put it on Anduril due to me liking the model of the sword more.

I have a plan on addidng Celebrimbor's armour to it at some point but I haven't been able to mod in a while I'm afraid.
Thanks for the feedback!
