In this case, it will work as I modified the original War Magic so it has the same name. But modders sometimes replace a feature with a new entry with a different name, just saying so you keep it in mind for the future.
This mod works as intended. If someone is comming to the posts to verify if the mod still works.
Thx for this mod! Searched for an simple option to get the Ring of element infusion get running and still do the extra Attacks with the elements on the weapon.
The external mod manager [pre-update 7] no longer is usable, and the game's own internal mod manager can't find this mod. And thoughts on how to install it?
I think you are confused about the mod managers here.
First, which "External Mod Manager" are you talking about? The only one you should be using is BG3ModManager which perfectly with ALL versions of the game if you have the latest version of it.
Second, the internal mod manager should see this mod like any other .pak. It's impossible for it not to see it unless you manually installed it incorrectly, no matter for what version of the game the .pak was made.
Your comment itself is confusing me, you say ''External Mod Manager Pre-Update 7'' at the same time you mention the ''Internal Mod Manager'' that was only added with Update 7.
If you are having issues with BG3ModManager (which you should be using to install mods from NexusMods) it's probably because you didn't update it to its latest version. Open BG3ModManager and above click Help>Check for Updates. And if you can't open it then download the latest version of it by clicking HERE and put the folder of the new version on top of the folder of the older one to update it manually and then you will be able to open it. Then just install my mod with it.
Well, if you are aware of all this, then it's clear you installed the mod incorrectly as that's the ONLY way you wouldn't see the mod using the in-game mod manager. To repeat myself, you shouldn't use the in-game mod manager to manage your mods anyway, but it should appear listed there along with the rest of your mods.
Finally, the fact you say BG3MM is unusable (unless you are on an unsupported Operative System) also points that you installed that incorrectly since everyone has been and still is using both things right now (my mod and BG3MM). You said ''The external mod manager [pre-update 7] no longer is usable'' when this is just not true if you update BG3MM to its latest version which added support for Patch 7 onwards since September 5th 2024. And if you using Patch

I'm playing a tempest cleric and I'm trying to add your War Magic ability (Patch 7 if it matters) to the class via console.
I just think it would be more fun to booming blade as a bonus in the same turn as a Thunderwave or shatter.
Will the following console code give me the ability from your mod?
Osi.AddPassive(GetHostCharacter(),"WarMagic")
Or will it give me the base game war magic Passive?
This mod works as intended.
