Currently, the Persist Multiple version might result in you having a bunch of pact weapons stuck in your inventory. For now, you need to force incapacitation to disable the pact bind. I'll try and address this in the future with a better way of disabling the pact weapon effects.
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed! For some reason, Wyll's pact weapon keeps unbinding every time I load or reload, and I forget to recast it (or can't recast it if I saved during combat), and then I end up without the benefits. So the free action version is perfect.
Hello, your mod still prevents me from transferring weapons to other characters even after uninstallation. It's really ruining my save file. You've been aware of this issue for months; please do something about it or don't allow people to download it anymore !
or dont use mods. if you know that hes known for months then so have you yet u still use it so its ur own fault. using mods comes with risk get over it
Hey, not for now, I've been in the process of moving countries for the past month or so. I believe that mid-November I'll finally have the time and proper environment to touch this again.
OKay so I really want this mod, because forgetting to bind my weapon is the most frustratingly annoying thing in the world. However... due to the existence of one specific trident that returns after being thrown... and then learning that for some ungodly reason warlocks aren't allowed to throw their pact weapon, I found a mod that someone already linked in the comments, but I'll link it again anyway just so there's no confusion:
Unfortunately, as you mentioned, it would likely conflict with your mod, which also changes how bound weapons work. If you had permission from the mod author, would you be willing to merge them? I would do it myself but I have zero modding experience and ADHD and I just... f*#@ing can't understand the guides that I've found online for modding this game haha
I'm sorry but I'm extremely busy at the moment moving countries... If you find someone who's willing to do it I give full permission, about the ADHD thing, don't let that hold you back, I've been suffering from ADHD since I can remember and I'm a Senior Software Engineer working in the area for over 10 years, if you put your mind to it and with the right methods and (if needed) medication you can do it! All the best.
I'm looking into it. I suspect there is a simple fix that wont require permissions of the other author. if its at easy as i hope I'll update this and hopefully have a fix soon. I just noticed this doesn't allow me to throw my bound trident... wonder if its the same one you also stole from a genie.
I'd like to see this as well, was disappointed when I found out my Ranger/Warlock build doesn't work.
By RAW in PnP you can bind any magic weapon as your pact weapon, including ranged weapons. The only limitation for melee weapons is on conjuring them. So binding whatever is in your ranged slot is something that should be possible, but it looks like it's a detail that Larian missed.
Would you possibly be able to make pact weapons throwable? Currently can't throw something like an automatically returning spear when it is your pact weapon.

Edit: Free action binding still works. Persistent weapon bond does not.
I was coming here to ask the same thing, as I've currently been suffering the described issues with my Eldritch Knights.
or does anyone know another mod that does the same thing but for fighter sub class?
