Name of this mod reminds me of a silly old MTG meme/joke: -Counterspell! -Counterspell on your counterspell!! -Counterspell on your counterspell on my counterspell!!!
Good thinking with the mod btw. Kudos for just the idea alone. Now, to see it in action...
aaaAAa this is so cool and encourages playing smart i love it!111 ..................does it still work in p7-? i'm downloading it anyway- the subtle spell addition makes me so happy bc my bf always reminds me i could subtle spell cast something in our games and it can't be counterspelled jkdfgmrgmrmg
Wrong from a lore perspective as well. Not every magic using class with access to counterspell has an equal ability to sense the magic of the weave. Some, like Warlocks, may simply be gifted the ability by a patron. For most characters outside of talented wizards, its reasonable to assume that they would need to see someone casting a spell in order to have time to prepare such a reaction.
Greater Invisibility isn't affected by casting a spell unless the new spell requires concentration. Invisibility (2nd level) is, but it's dropped upon casting, meaning they still don't see the casting. That's rules-as-written for D&D 5e, at least.
Thanks for trying out the mod! I do want to support Subtle Spell, but as I'm still a noob at modding BG3, I'm still trying to figure out a way to do it.

so they can see you just before the spell land
That being said, any chance of allowing subtle spell to prevent counterspelling as is possible on tabletop as well?
I had to nerf my own party on usage of this spell.
Its too powerful as implemented.
Thanks
