Big fan of Dorian but I can't quite get it to work.
I didn't like Astarion at all so i edited his appearance (the hairstyle) using Appearance Edit Enhanced With this mod installed I get Astarion with Dorian's facial hair. Besides that he is still Astarion. It seems that those 2 mods are no compatible or is there a way to make them both work together?
If you have this mod installed and you try to edit Dorian's appearance, it will (most of the time) default to Astarion's appearance in the mirror. There is no way to get around this as both mods are accessing the same data and the game usually chooses the original data to display the appearance. It works sometimes, which is why I mentioned quicksaving before an attempt. Unfortunately there is nothing that I know of that can be done about that. Please let me know if I've misunderstood your question. My mod will change Astarion's appearance though, so if that is not the result, you may have to change the mod order.
Thank you very much for getting back to me. I didn't try to change his appearance after I installed your mod anymore. If I remove the Appearance Edit mod your mod is mostly applied - the hair color is still grey though.
My understanding of the mod order is that the mod that loads last takes effect in the end. So I placed your mod below the Appearance Edit. Both mods close to the bottom of my mod list. The mods that follow have nothing to do with characters or appearances.
I merely removed it from the mod order via the BG3 ModManager. I didn't know about the uninstaller. That sounds promising. I will give it a try soon and update you on the outcome.
Update: Appearance Edit is not listed in the Mod Uninstaller list. This is getting tricky.
Thank you very much for your help. I need Dorian in my BG3 game. Even though he should be a mage it would be nice seeing an alternate reality version of him. I'll jeep digging and experimenting myself. If I should be able to figure it, I'll let you know.
Interestingly if I pick Astarion as my origin/playable character your mod takes full effect but not if he is a companion.
Update: I managed to get your mod to work. With "Appearance Edit Enhanced Origins" installed I set hair, skin and eye color of Astarion to match Dorian. Save - Exit game - remove "Appearance Edit Enhanced Origins" mod - back into the game and Dorian has arrived. Of course I can't put "Appearance Edit Enhanced Origins" back into the game as it would interfere with your mod.
Of course I enjoy Dorian. Always have. :) I was thinking about how to make your mod compatible with Appearance Edit. If the individual components of Dorian would be available for the character creator it would very compatible.
This is amazing! Brings back sweet memories of DA: Inquisition. Wonderfully done! Thank you! P.S. I am going to start Astarion's run as Dorian! You made me happy!
I just tried the mod, and it works! Great job! I love it! Please do consider other characters too. I would love to have a Tav that looks like Cullen or Cassandra.

Did you use the mod uninstaller or did you just remove it from your load order?

With the number of different mods out there though, it's impossible to say which may cause a conflict.
I hope you enjoy!
