Would be cool to get this up to level 20. I know this game doesn't really have the scope for level 20 built into it, but I'd like the option nonetheless.
Does the Eco STance work with other weapons if we're proficient with them? Because the only cool weapon i'd see myself using as a melee druid would be a glaive, all the druid weapons kinda force you to pair them with a shield, which i hate :(
This is a mod i've been looking for for a long time now as i too don't like turning into animals (combat) so thank you very much for making it. If possible, could you make a level 2 feat file for this sub class? I tried using Druid Unleashed level 2 feat mod file, but it seems too not be compatible with each other as if one works, the other wont. Changing the load order does nothing too.
Saw that you added the level 2 feat. Thank you so much!!
You're welcome! I'm glad that you're interested in it.
I created a level 2 feat file for the subclass. It's the optional file under the Files tab. It includes all the Eco Warrior stuff, so you'll want to completely remove the original before installing this one. I made it pretty quickly, so please let me know if you find any bugs.
Looks nice, and balanced (at least compared to Bard). I've been using a mod to give Sprore Druid an extra attack, it'll be nice to have some more martial options since Wild Shape is so jank. Don't suppose you'd be willing to add level 20 support?
Also saw you were open to suggestions for spells, and had a few ideas. Like hadept said, I think this class would really benefit from Strengthened Shillelagh, but I don't know how hard it is to add NPC spells to playable spell lists. And speaking of spell lists, you can always use spells that are already part of the Druid list and just make them Always Prepared like you did with Stoneskin. Protection from Energy would be a good 3rd level addition in that vein
Some ideas for expanded spell list spells, excluding existing druid spells: 3rd: Lightning Arrow, Lightning Bolt, Fireball all fit the elemental theme, even if they aren't as much about melee combat. Warden of Vitality would also fit pretty well. 5e Spells adds this to the druid list, but base game only paladins and bards can get it. Since this class feels like a mix of paladin and druid it seems thematic. 5th: Cloudkill, Cone of Cold, Flame Strike, and my personal vote: Destructive Wave. If it was possible to get Destructive Wave with pure Thunder damage I think it would have an even stronger argument for the list, but the necrotic/radiant split does feel a little weird on a druid.
Thanks! I've tested it quite a bit in Trials of Tav, and it feels pretty balanced. I use that Spore Druid extra attack mod too. It just makes way more sense to have extra attack. Level 20 support is a possibility in the future. My number one priority right now is a new paladin subclass, and I also have to playtest patch 7, so it might not happen for a while if at all.
I appreciate the spell suggestions. I added Warden of Vitality, and modified versions of Destructive Wave (10d6 Thunder damage) and Flame Strike (10d6 Fire damage). The updated version of the mod should be available soon.
That was fast! Mod was updated before I even saw your reply. I won't hold my breath for level 20 support then. I'll be honest, I've been trying to forget Patch 7 is coming, even though I'm very excited for it, because the thought of updating all my mods has me groaning already
Same here. I'm not looking forward to everything breaking when they release that patch. If I thought it was going to add a ton of new content, I would feel differently.
Honestly the new evil endings are enough for me, they were very lackluster in the base game. But I do hope we get some more changes they haven't revealed
Considering that clubs and quarterstaffs can be used with this wildshape Strengthened Shillelagh from the Dryad unlocking at a higher level would be great! Could also steal some other stuff from Dryads like their passives cause they have a fun build in this game.
Good point. I forgot to add the spell list to the description. Searing smite, thunderous smite, magic weapon, aid, elemental weapon, and stoneskin. There might be one or two more. I'll update the description.
Yes I see the spells in game. Ran it at level 4. Sorta felt like a hybrid Paladin. Which I like. Dice rolls showed up in the combat log as you described. Which I think would be a big reason for someone who likes melee to give it a go. I threw an entangled spell and crushed an enemy before he could reposition. Nice.
Thanks for the feedback! I pretty much made it, so that I could have a character fight effectively with a sickle or a club. I also really like the druid spell list, but I'm kind of bored with spore druid at this point.

Quick question. Will I get any Druid spells with this subclass?
