Love Ancestral Guardians! Just curious, I am using the in game Mod Manager version, the resistance part of the Ancestral Protectors feature doesn't seem to be functioning. Does give disadvantage, just not the resistance.
Screenshot of the combat log and hover over the damage roll and screenshot that too? and tell me where the damage that was dealt came from please. I just loaded the game with the modio version and tested in combat - works fine on my end
Interesting! So I just quickly had a fight with some shadows and after MUCH effort I managed to line up the situation... and it worked! I definitely had it not proc from one of the sisters in the house of healing, but I have no screenshots to prove that unfortunately since I've closed the game since then.
Hard to test as well, it's an honour mode playthrough.
If I come across the issue again I'll be sure to respond again (with a screenshot) and let you know! Thanks again for making this subclass, it's my favorite barbarian subclass and my dex barb Astarion is shredding while being super tanky. I've noticed one small issue, and that is the subclass specific rage doesn't seem to be proccing the Enraging Heart Garb's 2 turns of Wrath, possibly because it's not true "rage"? Might be a base game issue. Thought I'd bring it to your attention regardless!
(EDIT: did a search and is just a base game issue. Might go looking for one of the fix mods. Once again, thanks!)
Thanks - appreciate your support one thing with the way the game does resistance is that die rolls of 1 screw up the whole damage calc and that could be what you encountered?
I know you've answered this before, but my Library is at 0, and my Framework is last, with UI just above and the class mods in the middle, but most classes only have one subclass showing up. Weirdly, monk has two showing up but not the third. Any suggestions as to what might be causing that?
Load order is Zealot, Giant, Ancestral Guardian, Storm Herald, Sun Soul, Astral Self, Long Death, Rune Knight, Samurai. Only Ancestral Guardian (3rd of 4, for some reason), Sun Soul, Astral Self and Samurai are appearing
Hey, I'm putting this here because I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just something I'm doing wrong.
I've added several of your subclass mods, but only some of them are appearing as options in character creation. For instance, with barbarians, I've added both the zealot and the ancestral guardian, but when I create a barbarian character, it gives me the standard three choices plus the zealot; no ancestral guardian. (I'm having a similar issue with fighters, where it's giving me the cavalier but not the samurai, even though I've installed both.)
The load order doesn't appear to be making a difference. (I use the BG3 Mod Manager.)
Yep your cf/cl load is incorrect - cf last, cl first, all mods in between. Check the article on the mod page for load order and make sure script extender is installed and up to date :)
Turns out I was even more of a fool than I thought. Even though I really thought I'd done so, it turns out I hadn't installed the Framework. I've done so now, and things seem to be working.
Hi I just wanted to say I loves your mods. my personal favorite being the rune knight which has been my favorite in table top. Do you plan on doing other class subclasses? is there a chance you could do the Bladesinger wizard subclass at some point? Perhaps even some unique equipment related to these subclasses? These would be really cool to use!
Hello. I love your mods, they are very nice and fun to play with (my favorite is the Psi Warrior). I have a more off-topic question, if you don't mind: I'm a modder too and I was wondering where and how you get these nice artworks you use for the front images of your mods? I know some modders use artwork I've seen appear in the DnD rulebooks or handbooks and such, but where do you download the actual image files from in such nice quality? I'm gonna need one for my Druid mod and it'd be nice to know. If you can share a link or something I would really appreciate it.
Do you mean for the mod page images or the icons in the mod? the icons I make by hand the artwork for the mod page on nexus I grab from different artists I like (a lot come from magic the gathering cards) and tweak them if necessary
am kinda new so lvl 20 is kinda intimidating; is there a way to compress it so it got full power in lvl 12?(with the last feature nerfed a bit if you think it's OP) also thanks for the mod i was searching to make my barbarian a tank and this works since the AI gonna target my barb more with the disadvantage on ally
What's intimidating about level up? Number goes up, new class ability. It's the same as level 12, but with 8 additional levels. There's nothing to be intimidated by, tbh. It's leveling up but more.
@LoneSilverWolf cause the expansion mod bugged? there is post on barbarian abilities post level 12 to say not found? and some ven lost previous fetures like paladin losing lay on hands not found
So I have discovered an unusual bug. I can only have one subclass mod per class installed at a time. Basically which ever subclass mod is at the higher point in the load order per class is the only one that show up. Weird.
Unfortunately i'm in the group of players where the current version of CL breaks the game. I keep checking for updates but the author has real life stuff going on.
Yeah I know they are on a break. The problem is, the new Patch 7 built in Progressions merging feature is bugged (when you try to multiclass), so I am not transitioning to that method until Larian fixes it :/

Thanks for your patience with a modding newb.
I am currently working on Drunken Master, then will start the UA Brute, Way of Mercy, and then Way of the Cobalt Soul -- so more to come!
