This mod is mostly a cool looking and inmersive version of my Weapons Oils mod.
This mean that this mod won't have a cheat version adding items to tutorial chest or anywhere else. If that what you want, you can use Weapons Oils.
Description
Add new runes to the game, runes can be applied to a weapon (and in some cases to an armor. There's only one armor rune at the moment, but the system will be expanded at a later date) giving them permanent enchanments.
Runes need to be crafted, using a Runic Anvil and components. This mod is a little hardcore in that part; components are costly and some of them can be very hard to find. As indicated as the start, those who just look for cheat items can use Weapons Oils.
Getting Started
You can get a Runic Anvil, Volo's Guide to Runic Smithing and your first Empty Rune as a reward from Volo for rescuing him from the goblin camp.
If you miss it, you also can buy those items from Greymon at the Grymforge (Act I), Barcus Wroot at Last light Inn (Act II) and at Danthelon's Dancing Axe (Act III). Also Helsik will sell Empty Runes too.
There's also a (really low) chance of getting empty runes as loot or on other traders not indicated above. At least level 5 is require for this.
The Runic Anvil and Volo's Guide to Runic Smithing can also be obtained from Elven Weaponry - Tutorial Chest. Note that there isn't any empty rune (or any other kind of rune) in the chest, you'll need to buy/loot those.
Rules of the Runes
All this info can be read in game, using Volo's Guide to Runic Smithing.
There's four categorys of runes and only one rune of each category can be active at the same time on each item. If you use a second one, the previous one will be remove.
This means that only the item on the appropiate slot will get the benefits, if you don't have an item on that slot you will lose the rune. On weapons only the active weapon in your main hand will get the benefits. (So be aware if you have melee/ranged active before use and if you want to enchant a offhand weapon you need to equip it on main hand first.)
The second part means that any item use on crafting will lost all runes. Dye is OK, but any other form of crafting will remove all runes.
Pretty straighforward, means only the character that use a jealous rune on an item will benefit from it. These runes are indicated in their description with Jealous Rune at the start of it.
Runecrafting
This are the components use to create runes. Mix the components using the runic anvil as a base. All this info can be read in game, using Volo's Guide to Runic Smithing. Have in mind that Magistral runes can't be crafted, these runes only have a small chance of appear as loot on certain places.

Installation
BG3 Mod Manager is recommended.
Use either the Vortex Mod Manager or the BG3 Mod Manager and install this mod.
Make sure you deploy your mods if using Vortex or export the mod list if using BG3 Mod Manager.
For Update just overwrite old version pak with the new one. If you want to be 100% sure everything goes smoothly do the following:
-Remove equiped items from this mod from your characters (you can leave them in the inventory, no need to store them), save your game and exit.
-Install the new version (just overwrite old one).
-Load, you can reequip your items as you wish.
As I said, nothing of this should be needed, I update like hundreds of times while testing just overwritten the old file. But the above proccess should be the correct one to update items mods.
Uninstallation isn't support after patch 5. You can try to use a mod that create a temporary container, like tutorial chest summoning. Place items in it and wait for it to vanish into the void with them. Remember that you'll need to remove all items that have rune enchanments. Save, exist and remove the mod. There's also several tutorials on nexus that gives methods that may work. Remember to deploy/export after uninstalling mods.
Optional
If you want the anvil and manual to appear in the tutorial chest use: Elven Weaponry - Tutorial Chest. Load it after all main files from weaponry series.
For removing VFX from elemental runes use the optional file. Load it after main file.
