Could you add a +2 Javelin and a +1 Javelin of Homing? And maybe a special +2 Javelin of Homing that also has the Flourish action unlocked for it? Maybe have them show up at appropriate shop inventories, something like this:
+2 Javelin: Put it in the the ST_Finesse_MeleeWeapons_Magic treasure table, but only after you reach level 4
+1 Javelin of Homing: Put in (say) Brem's inventory.
+2 Javelin of Homing: Put in (say) Grat's inventory.
The game by default uses mele calculations for throwing thrown tagged weapons, so this applies to that as well.
It's a bit misleading. Finesse tag doesn't affect attack rolls when throwing weapons for some dumb Larian reason, and your mod doesn't change that. It only applies for the damage roll.
What about making mod that gives finesse tag to all glaive type weapons? It would differentiate them from halberds, giving them nice niche as two-handed option for dex builds and makes sense thematically. So far besides rapiers and couple longswords there not much to play with if you wanted more than base 1d6 to hit with.
the reason 5E doesnt let you have any big damage dice for finesse is because they are intended to stack with rogue sneak attacks and monk weapon buffs. Not that that means you shouldn't put it in your game of course.
"When attacking with a glaive, halberd, quarterstaff, or spear, " - the polearm master feat. so im guessing no. That feat is also bugged i believe, though their is a mod for that.

Or are they counted as polearms in BG3?
