Does this still need the bg3 mod fixer if I am using the bg3 mod manager?

I reached level 2 just when I woke up on the beach, usually you do that after you fight the first intellect devourers, so it seems to work with patch 7. Using the standard version.

While it may have been pathetically easy for Lockindal to create a bespoke version of your mod, I am a far dumber example of human. Could I trouble you to create and post something like the progression I've described below? I realize a modder's time is precious, so if you can make this dream real for me, I would be both grateful and happy to toss a few coppers in your cap.

    I'd like to hit:

    1. level 5 by the time I reach the nautiloid helm;
    2. level 6 around the end of Act 1; and
    3. level 12 at around the same time as vanilla.

A little context: I've been playing the game since early-early access, but haven't had an opportunity to play past the end of Act 1 since full release for a variety of reasons. My headcanon is that it takes a couple of minutes for my PC to "wake up" after abruptly exiting the pod (the rush to the helm), at which point they regain the benefit of the experience they've accrued throughout their lifetime to date; they didn't just learn to lace up a jerkin that morning. The group gets a little stronger over the course of Act 1 as they learn to work together (levelling from 5 to 6), after which ... I would prefer the vanilla experience, pretty please.

You can use the BG3 modders multitool to edit mods and change them to whatever you want. Just don't edit someone's mod and post it as your own, use it for your games only.

Hi, my friend! Can you pass me some tutorial to make it? I have some ideas to edit existing mods, but I don't know even how to start...

It should, it just won't affect anything beyond level 12.

Hi! I really want to use the 20% decrease version because I am very bad at video games and also want to multiclass a bunch, but I am on Mac and have to install mods manually. Some modders upload an info.json file but that sounds like probably a pain for you - could you just let me know all the stuff I need to add to my modsettings.plx file? Name, folder, UUID, MD5 I think is all I need. I would be super appreciative of the help!!

Checked the math, and unless I'm missing something this is closer to a 50% increase, not 20%?

      The previous total was 130,000.
The new total for the base version is 154,600. A 18,92% increase.
The new total for the flat 20% is 156,000. A 20% increase.

OK. I think I was thrown off by the numbers next to level 12 in your description.

I was stuck on thinking the xp needed to get to level 12 was 100k.
In the list, what is the final xp line for? It that just the max xp line within that game that would have leveled up to 13?

in many internet sources the total is shown as 100K
      here f.e. https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/713?tab=images
      or here

Previous total is 100k not 130k. Your list in the picture is incorrect actually, thanks for the mod nontheless.

The picture/list with the exp requirements is wrong. Exp next to a level shows the xp needed to level up to the next one, that's correct. 300 xp next to level 1 means 300xp needed to level up to level 2. Thing is this should stop at level 11(exp needed to reach level 12). Can't understand what 36000 xp next to level 12 means with the way this list is. 36000 needed to reach level 13? That line in the list is irrelevant and doesn't make sense. Overall flat 20% increase is 120.000(adding numbers from 1 to 11) compared to 100.000 in vanilla, so it's correct if we add the numbers from line 1 to line 11. The adjusted normal version though requires 112.600 xp to reach level 12 compared to 100.000 xp needed in vanilla, so the increase in xp needed to hit lvl 12 is 11,26% and not 20% like the description incorrectly says.

With only this mod and the mod fixer the mod has not worked. Can anyone suggest a fix?

I tried installing the flat 20% increase version mid-campaign at lvl 7. I'm at about 4500 xp, 4500 needed for lvl 8.

After installing, I'm at 9600 experience with 1200 needed for next level, so I'm actually much closer to leveling to 8, and I ended up gaining experience somehow. I think this is due to the same issue with another xp mod another user mentioned

Installing mid-game can result in the game attempting to proportionally scale your XP. Which leads to wonky results like this.

      It's not recommended.
