Hey there author. I'm using the mod, and sometimes for whatever reason, the toggle becomes unresponsive; I can click it but it fails to activate at all. Care to take a look at it? Unfortunately I don't know exactly what causes it to stop working; I usually notice it after a combat ends. Maybe some technical status is not resetting on combat end?
I have this, presumably as part of the combined subclasses mod I subscribed to in-game. It doesn't appear to work. I can toggle it but I don't get advantage. I checked the combat log to make sure it wasn't just a UI thing.
I can confirm this works properly- you likely have some other issue or conflict going on - remove other mods and add them back one by one, testing after each add, until you find the issue. also remember to read the mod description so you see how the toggle works based on what you’ve done at the start of your turn
Just to add because I experienced something similar (although not using the combined subclasses mod) but realised that I was using Phalar Aluve, a finesse weapon, while my Dex was higher. The mod description states that advantage is gained for weapons using Strength.
Hello, I've noticed that with this mod, I cannot use Combat Inspiration's Valiant Damage while Reckless Attacking. I CAN use Valiant Attack to increase my chance to hit, but Valiant Damage seems to not want to trigger.I've tried both this version and the version on mod.io in the combined subclasses and both have this issue. It does work with the regular Reckless Attack, so for the time being I am using that, but I really do prefer this method of using Reckless Attack.
If it helps, I am using the 2024 version of Bard, including 2024 College of Valor. I can't imagine why that would make a difference but you never know.
The purpose is to rewrite RA so that it functions the way it does in tabletop D&D... Larian's implementation does not match the way the ability is written and used within the rules of D&D.
1. BG3 RA does not allow you to reckless attack with unarmed strikes, which you should be able to do - this mod does 2. BG3 RA does not have different durations for the advantage on attack vs the advantage on being attacked. which it should - this mod does 3. BG3 RA allows you declare the reckless attack at any point on your turn and only if it is an attack with an actual weapon, which it should not - this mod locks it in on the first attack you make on your turn, and it can be any attack (even spell attacks) 4. BG3 RA requires you use a spell manually to reckless attack which is locked down to your main hand melee weapon - this mod does not have that limitation 5. BG3 RA allows you to cheat the ability through the reckless attack interrupt and say "oh i was going to miss on this attack, never mind I will give myself advantage instead", which is not how the ability works - this mod doesnt allow you to cheat the system
It definitely still overwrites the reckless attack from the base game barbarian level 2 progression, but it does it as a merge now instead of completely overwriting the entire level (better for compatibility)
Hello! For some reason the attacks stopped working (advantage/disadvantage). The passive is activated as is the VFX, but there is no change in the percentage of attacks. I didn't change the load order on the bg3mm so I don't know what could have happened. Until a few days ago it was working normally. Could it have to do with update #29? Thanks!
Hmm… I don’t actually know. My RA replaces the base game ability at barb level 2 but doesn’t overwrite the games normal reckless attack functionality. I’m assuming that the enemies use the same class progressions so I think they would inherit it?

Just out of curiosity any reason you decided to no longer overwrite the base game barbarian level 2 progression?
Love your mods!
