I noticed the sound of metalic boots is removed indeed, although the sound of footsteps is still a shoe/boots sound. Did u replace the heavy boots sounds with bare foot sounds or leather boot sounds?
Can't make it to fully work and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The boots do disappear when transmoging. But walking/running sounds like having leather boots equipped. I tried equipping the object just as taken from the tutorial chest (without transmoging) and it still makes the leathery boots sound. Maybe it has to do with my DWrite file from script extender? (for avoiding crushing issues, I have moved it to bin/Native Mods). I'm currently waiting for other player's feedback to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Just wanted u to know
Hmm. I really don't think that's possible. This mod doesn't swap anything, it just removes a line of code. The game wouldn't have any reason to swap the sound of metal boots to leather boots for no reason. tbh it sounds like maybe ur just noticing the barefoot steps more now because you're concentrating on them haha
Here's a simple test. Starting camp area. Metal boots. Leather boots. Barefoot. Run over the wood planks on the way to the camp chest with each. You'll notice three distinct sounds. As far as I can tell, those are the only three "tiers" of footsteps in the game. If you now transmog the metal boots with this item, it should sound the same as running over those planks barefoot, with no footwear on.
Instead of hiding my boots it seems to replace it with broken dream guardian footwear model and it converts whatever was changed into the metalic footsteps instead. Are there any mods I should let this overwrite besides the trasmog mods?
Do you think it's possible to keep the visuals while removing the sounds? Some footwear that is already barefoot still uses boot sounds but would be hidden to have a fitting sound.
Hey this might be a silly question but any way of having this work the other way around? I have some modded armours, and despite trying with transmog they still have the barefoot audio. Is it possible to change it so the mod takes any barefoot audio and makes it leather/metallic?
I tried all sound tests with all (metal, leather, none) with my speakers maxed and I still notice the leathery footsteps I mentioned (couldn't reply to u cause my comments are sticky-locked). I'll keep on testing and let u know. The idea behind this mod is brilliant and I really want it to work. Thanks!
