Ah, we both used koriik home brewee template to create this dice. Ill update it later for it to have a unique uuid :)
Edit: I lost the files D: I can't fix it I'm sorry. It's just not compatible with that one tho and a couple more dices here on the nexus tho. Also I might re-do it some day way better
I feel like I've tried everything to get this to work, and it just...won't. I can load it with the mod "installed" but the dice is never an option. Everything I've tried;
-Loose files -.Pak file on it's own -Vortex installation and use -Vortex with Mod Fixer -BG3 Mod Manager and .PAK for Dice -BG3 Mod Manager + Improved UI mod
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm not really a modding person myself but, I feel like I followed what I was told... I don't know what I'm missing. I figured maybe I shouldn't do the manual install but even the managers didn't work for me. I'm at a loss.
When trying out any dice, be mine or from other modders I had the same issue on some occasions.
What fixed it out for me was deleting the mods on the data folder (cut, place it outside to reinstall them later) and deactivate and reactivate the mods using mod manager, placing improvedUI at the top and the dice on last position. Then it worked, and reinstalles the mods on data. No idea why but it worked. Remember to deploy the mod order on the bg3 mod manager!
Another trick you can do, is installing any dice from this dice collection (I used the TRON one), then go to the data folder, dig into the dice files until you find the 25 .DDS files, and replace those with mine from the loose files folder (workaround with most dices out there, not all but most, with mine it works, but not with the dragon dice set I just uploaded for example).
Your reply gave me the inspiration to try this again today, because I REALLY wanted to use the rainbow dice.
Lo' and behold, it works. The issue, as I came to figure out? I had the mods as "INACTIVE" in the mod manager. I didn't even SEE that there was active vs inactive until you mentioned reactivating them in the first place. I am now happily using the dice, and think I can use others in the future should I wish. THANK YOU!
im unsure if I'll do more dices, but in the case that I do, could you give me an example of what you're looking for? idk what a dragon d20 dice should look like and google doesn't help

If you have any preferences on what dragon image or colors let me know. I could add it to this dice setting replacing the 20 with a dragon very quickly if that is what you want.
well make it how you want :). Just the numbers have to be readable. I would love a red dragon head on it. Cause female red dragons best! (also red dragons in this game we see).

I can't change the dragon's mesh/position, but I can change the color and material (metallic, wood, gold, silver, rust whatever) and it's position. From dice edges, to dice color, to dragon to roll animation, tell me what would look better and I'll try.
For some reason the video quality is shitty, but trust me that it looks awesome in game
I'll leave a comment here, Its just something to look out for. this Dice Set isn't currently compatible with the Galaxy set that just came out bc both paks use the same UUID, and if you make further dice packs and don't change that, they wont be compatible with this set either.
In case you haven't found the answer to this yet, you can generate your own UUID with this tool https://www.uuidgenerator.net/ and then update the UUIDs located in: >Localization\English\DiceRainbowDark.xml (don't forget to create a new .loca file) >Public\TavDice\CustomDice\CustomDice.lsx (update the UUIDs from the localization file) There is also a UUID in >Mods\TavDice\meta.lsx which you should change also, if its the same as the UUID in the Galaxy dice set.
that is weird. Did you used a mod manager?If so, are you placign this dice in last place in the load order? I use it that way an highlight everything works fine along with the dice.
Is it possible to get a version with the normal/white numbers? Whenever you add/remove numbers via bonuses the rainbow colors on the typeface change. :'(
It is but... every number, has an image with 16-25 dices, each with 10 visible numbers, and there are 25 editable files (minus three rolls and one face 21). To have the white numbers would mean selecting and editing 20x10x22= 4200 numbers to white. So yes its possible, but a hard no from me. This is also why I don't want to do more dices, it isn't hard, it's tedious. (this isn't the editable files but the amount is close to what you see, and each number should be individually selected and edited)
I can try if you want to just edit the middle number (the one you roll) on the last images of each roll, that would make it so the "score" it's always white in the end. I Will go om vacation in four hours, and be away for a week tho. If you catch me before I go I might be able to do it before I leave.
Understandable; if you'd like to make the version you suggested I'd appreciate it, but I understand if it's too much of an effort. Enjoy your vacation either way!

I've already downloaded it! I'm gonna guess you take the png and you just draw over that with what you want? I'm not too sure how to pack it or anything though haha
I decided to start creating the tutorial now :D Idk how long it will take as I have to go dinner now, but maybe an hour or two.
Brief answer to your questions tho: the pngs included are just previews, the files you have to edit are the dds ones, and you'll need a plugin for photoshop to be able to use them. Then there's a separate program to create the .pak file, the github is in the description.
Tutorial done, I had it since yesterday but youtube screwed me over and was too late at night to re-render and re-re upload. But it is ready now :D Check the end of the description page. You'll see its very very easy.
P.S. Just so you know, you can just use Photopea to import and export .dds files without needing to install a plugin! It's basically an exact copy of Photoshop and it works amazingly well!
