First off, I really love this mod, so thank you for deciding to post it! As someone who also plays on Honour with some difficulty increasing mods, I really enjoy the effort you've put into balancing the subclass while also staying true to aesthetics. I'm a huge fan of ethereal ambush in particular--I was always insanely jealous of the phase spiders.
The only issue that I've experienced is this mod is incompatible with some mods which modify the base sorcerer subclass and a handful of other subclass mods since it doesn't use script extender or compatibility framework. I'm a novice when it comes to modding (having only done some minor things for personal use), but I did make a script extender/compatibility framework patched version of this mod for myself. I'd be happy to send you the patched version if you wanted to provide it as an option for people wanting to play with the mods it might interfere with.
Anyway, this mod is awesome. Thanks again for sharing!
If you send it to me (not sure how?) I can post it. I have no idea how to use compatibility framework and didn't bother to learn because this is currently the only subclass mod I use. It's also my first mod so I didn't even think about that stuff. Will be happy to credit you in the article as well.
Hello hello, so I was weirdly excited for this (as an heavily arachnophobic person I'm shocked lol) But sadly I can't see the subclass show in CC :( Am I doing something wrong? Or is it something you can pick later on while leveling up? I was so excited to do an Arachnee vibing Durge haha
What did you do for installing? I just put it in AppData/Local/Larian Studios/Baldur's gate 3/mods and then activate it in game through the mod manager. I'm not the mod author, can't help much :(
With bg3mm, since nothing was specified in the desc I assumed it was like 95% of subclasses/races mods.. My game isn't updated to P7 yet since some of the mod I am using still needs to get an update to support P7
I just think that the arachnomancer, like in DD, should transform into different spiders, because of their corrupted nature, they could be left as druids corrupted by lolthand instead of the animal transformation slots, it leaves 4 different spider transformations and when reaching level 10, the form of a cave boss spider or drider would be impressive, because besides summoning spiders, transforming into them is a cool and unique concept.
I loved your idea, it won my heart, Arachnomancer is what Baldur's Gate 3 needed, finally someone understands me, I'm going to love the spider transformation even morestar_border
Thanks for posting the mod - testing a few things. The class is really sick! I was thinking, is a version without item altering possible? A lot of mods fiddle with existing items and they don't quite get along with your mod.
Sometime in the future I'll separate them into two mods, but it's not on my priority list. I understand where you're coming from though. You can absolutely download the multitool, unpack the mod, go to the public>generated>data>stats>arachnomancer text file and just delete the items though.
