I'm posting this on all three Phalar Aluve mods here on Nexus (as of today),
Can you make it so the game interprets it as a short sword rather than a long sword? I don't know if Larian added the Finesse tag to it by mistake, but at the moment there's no animation for a sneak attack using it. The wielder just freezes for a few secs till the dice rolls and you can see the damage. I imagine it can be remedied by just changing it to a short sword, but I'm not sure. At any rate, thanks!
using "WPN_Longsword_1"This is the current tag for Phalar Aluve. I checked and switched it with a shortsword and a dagger but the sneak attack is pretty wonky. The only thing that got affected was the proficiency for the weapon. I'd guess the animation is tied to the texture itself and not the tag.
Modders who are well versed in texture work can definitely take a look at this but at the moment this is beyond what I can do :)
is it possible to make it a one handed weapon and remove the versatile tag? i wanna use this on my swords bard but it doesn't really work with a dueling fighting style
Can you do something similar to this mod for the Blade of Oppressed Souls. Its found deep in the Necrotic Laboratory behind a puzzle. I believe it rightfully deserves a buff, especially because this game has no good longswords when compared to other weapon types.
Be interesting to see what the full set stuff will be when you are done but have you thought about giving the same treatment to the dark Justicar gear to actually make it coherent in level of all pieces being balanced instead of going from uncommon to very rare. Heck or you could even make a set for the other path you can choose if you know what I mean.
