Hi! I installed the mod, but I can't buy the books. I know the mod installed correctly because the boot salesman and the drunkard appear in their places, but the option to buy the books from the Jovial Juggler doesn't appear for me. I installed both DLCMerger and InfinityUI.
Huh I have zero idea why, never had this problem Can you send a few screenshots? And I know it's a dumb question but I'm gonna ask anyway - do you have enough money?
Right now I play with 0.52 and lots of mods and it works just fine Checked 0.53 with no mods except mine and no dlc - works fine
InfinityUI isn't a requirement DLCMerger also isn't if you don't have SoD dlc
No problem, I'll send you the screenshots. I was using version 0.52 without InfinityUI and I also had this problem, I updated to 0.53 and it didn't solve it. I have SoD, I'm at the Jovial Juggler inn and I have A LOT of money as shown in the image.
1. Do you have an opportunity to install clean version of the game and my mod only(no dlc and no other mods)? 2. Can you send me your weidu log? 3. Did you reinstalled/installed/uninstalled any mods after starting your current game?
Meanwhile lets assume something overwritten changes from my mod and we need to revert it: Open this two folders and make a copy of this file(there's only one file in that folder)
Rename copy to INN3304.STO
Now you need to put INN3304.STO in 'override' folder. Windows will tell you there's already file existing by that name. Choose to overwrite old file
Check your game and tell me if it didn't help. Game needs to be restarted and ideally you should not run the game while making those changes
1 - No, my game is from Steam, so I can't install it without the SoD DLC 2 - Sure, here's the weidu log: WeiDU.log (I don't know how to attach files here, so I created a link to my desktop) 3 - I installed a mod to remove XP cap (Simple XP cap remover at Baldur's Gate Nexus - Mods and Community) before my current game
This Weidu.log looks peachy fine as far as I can tell Tell me if anything happened after you replaced INN3304.STO file To understand if it worked you need to start a new game and then to travel/teleport to inn and check if menu appeared or not
I copy the file like you told me, started a new game and it worked! Now the buying menu appears on the bartender from Jovial Juggler. Thanks for the help!
So, just in case - never ever reinstall/install/uninstall any mods after your started a new game, do it only before new game Such actions(almost guaranteed) will mess up your save because that's just how this old game works
In short - install the game, install all mods, play the game and don't touch your mods until you are finished and ready to start a new game
Anyone identified the 'Drunk' for boots? found A cat(its a Cat, its unlikely to be the ONLY One) for boots at a reasonabish 300, Free inheritance ones and a copy of cat boots for sale in store, but no Drunk for boots or anything else thats not a book listed in mod details lol. Edit: ohh and a tip for the Bartender. its NOT the Bar you Die entering too early on many difficulties.
Drunkard doesn't have any boots, you can play a drinking game with him and if you win - he gives you a little something.
In the store there is mostly books, new boots that is in 0.5 version will be given by a mage upstairs(I didn't upload v0.5 yet, I need to redo dialog with this mage first).
Like any other weidu mod - open archive with mod files, drag them into your main game folder(where Baldur.exe is located) and double click Setup-Books.exe. Then installation process will begin. Type letter "i" in opened window, them press Enter key on your keyboard. When installation will end - press Enter key again. Done.
If you have SoD DLC installed - then before installing my mod(or any other mod) you need to install DLC Merger, because this DLC broke the way mods worked -> https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate/mods/28
If you are new to BG mods I want to say just in case - there A LOT of mods, just not on Nexus. New NPC, quests, items, tweaks, kits etc. Lots to choose from.

InfinityUI isn't a requirement
DLCMerger also isn't if you don't have SoD dlc
Do you have this menu? ->
Does your inn menu looks like this:
Or like this:

2. Can you send me your weidu log?

Let me know if you need further help

There's also two npc with a few new items and a bit of a dialog somewhere
(I hope mod will be manually checked soon. If not - maybe I'll upload it to github)
