great job! ignore low iq kids who are trying to get attention by whining about copyright etc. all AI engines train on millions of books and other shit. nobody cares. it is the cost of technological evolution
Fantasic mod. Especially for someone who has played this game almost every year since 2002. Brings life to many characters and alot of replay value for old veterans like me, who now wanted to find and speak with every single NPC just to hear what they sound like. Hoping this will be done for Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape: Torment.
"[A]ll audio assets in this mod remain the property of their respective copyright holders."
If the mod is all AI voicing, what audio assets are there that copyright holders have rights to? I'm not an IP lawyer, but no one has copyright on what a voice sounds like. I believe sounds can be trademarked (I think Ferrari and Harley-Davidson have trademarked the distinctive engine sounds of their vehicles, but I could be wrong). The one legal issue I am aware if is there is intent to deceive. But again, I am not an IP lawyer.
And more on topic, yeah, AI voicing adds a lot to old games that had none (e.g., Dragonborn Voice Over for Skyrim).
Outstanding job with this AI mod. This makes Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition more alive and complete. Will there be a chance to see a similar AI mod for Baldur's Gate 2 in the future as well?
I just got to Poe and was surprised he had a whole performance for his song lmao. Man, I hope you do this for BG2 because little surprises like that will be missed.
