    This was my file location-
    C:\Users\MY NAME\AppData\Local\Back4Blood\Steam\Saved\SaveGames

    I replaced file.

    The crosshair is now removed.

    It works.

    BUT I think your 2nd method is better ,
    since the replacement file made all my key configs default-
    so I had to rebind them.

    Good Job.
    Just think manual editing is better rather than file replacement.
