I'm getting a lot of requests to make the small reticle dot outside of combat be used in combat instead. While this is a good idea the game uses some code for the crosshairs to "pinch" them together when you pull the string on the bow for example so it is not that simple unfortunately, and doesn't look as intended just by replacing the texture, but I am looking into it.
Thank you SO much Dreams for your collection of great mods! You have made a massive improvement to my HUD during combat. I am currently using all of the following mods together seamlessly (with zero issue installing) so I highly recommend -and endorse- each of them.
I dont understand. you can toggle off the crosshair in the game menu. Why is this mod useful as an OFF toggle?
What I wish this mod would do is keep the ranged weapons' crosshair (Bow, magic, guns) but disable the melee crosshair, but i dont know if thats possible.
ooooooh. That wasn't clear to me from the description.
Great to know!!
EDIT: So I tested the mod and while I didnt find a version that removes the melee crosshair completely and keeps the ranged raticule, the version I am using with just a dot is still a great improvement to the base crosshairs. Much appreciated and endorsed.
From this mod, try using either 'Clean HUD - No Combat Reticles - Smaller Aim'OR 'Clean HUD - No Combat Reticles - Vanilla Aim' WITHNo Reticle Dot -which is also BY: @dreams897 (Look at the images from this mod to help choose your preference for the ranged crosshair appearance) I THINK that may be the combo you are looking for. Good luck!
While I like the smaller crosshair, I have trouble seeing even the vanilla one. Is there a way to provide an option to make the crosshair more visible? Also, you may end up with lots of combinations. For example, I'd like a smaller more visible crosshair, but I don't see a purpose for the blocking reticle other than to have something to show you where the enemy is.
So I have it as the smaller version for now because I need to find the code which shrinks the crosshair on 4 sides when you aim, this makes it a bit trickier unfortunately to change it to anything else

It's incredible how much junk alerts they put on the screen these days (without the option to turn them off).
Would it be possilbe to remove the white "diamond" thing that appears at the creatures heads when I aim at them during combat?
No Incoming Damage Indicator
Clean HUD - No Combat Reticles - Smaller Aim
No Reticle Dot
No Enemy Awareness Indicators (+ the optional offscreen removal)
No Enemy Death Icon
