If this mod doesn't work for you while others do - it means you have a conflict. Resolve by removing all the mods, testing this mod alone, making sure it works, and then adding back rest of the mods one by one.

If you're using mod manager(s) - try manual install instead.

NOTE: the mod works for cutscenes rendered in real time, not for the pre-rendered cutscenes like the ones used for dream sequences, for example.

Adding to the comments that this definitely breaks NPC behavior for some reason. Both enemies and party members are affected.

The cutscenes and dialogue look great... but it's not worth completely breaking the game's combat.

This mod bugged my game out.
For some reason, archers do not attack anymore. They just stand there. Same for Marius.

Great yet simple mod, but... For some reason this particular mod breaks the game for me in some way. Nobody do ranged attacks, except me. Not allies, not enemies. Rirlemen would just stand there and do nothing. They can kick if I'm too close, but never shoot. Same for bowmen, mages and your partners

if this doesn't work for other people this guy has made a ton of ultrawide fixes that definitely will work.

Thank you for the link. This is the most important mod to any game.

The big difference to mention: the linked file is an injector, i.e. an external library that acts out of the scope of the game's engine. So it is potentially unsafe.

Here it's a 5 characters long native (i.e. not going outside of the engine) fix.

Why couldn't they have done it this way right away? As if the game developers weren't aware that there are monitors of different formats.
And here's a piece of advice for you, for ease of installation of the mod, repeat the folder architecture right up to the root folder of the game in the downloaded archive

No, because folder structures are different depending on where you got the game from.

We're currently modding MS store version and let me explain to you the story behind it (because modders avoid MS store builds for a reason).

We're not rich, so we asked Obsidian for a Steam key (two keys as we're a team of two) because we're real "content creators" and they do give out keys for advertisement "content creators" quite frequently (the same ones who know nothing about tech and gameplay mechanics and just say "cool game, go buy"). So we wrote them about that and they bounced us to keymaker which says, nope, we don't care your millions of Nexusmods downloads, give us your youtube channel with millions subscribers.

So we went the cheapest way and bought 1 buck MS subscription we won't continue further (which means we'll stop modding when it runs out).

And millions of downloads don't mean good money - it's far far away from influencers getting paid for their face.

Sorry for that text, we were not pushing those talks before, but years are passing and nothing is changing: games are released with lots of problems, modders fix those, devs don't even say thank you. And even worse: what you can see inside a modern game is becoming madness, proof is this ultrawide problem which is known and discussed multiple times on UE forums, but no, those devs don't know and don't pay attention. We honestly don't know what school is teaching that, but loading screen problem here is the exact same as Stalker 2 HUD problem: they hardcoded 1920x1080 into their size widget.

Don't get it wrong: it's a cry of passion we've got for modding and making games (which is obviously not shared by many modern devs).

I understand how you feel when developers answer you like this time and again. You are doing important things. Modders are holy people, I think so. You know, if I were you, I would tell them to f*#@ off and download the game from a torrent. But I love Osidian...

Completely disagree about a lack of passion in modern devs, I can feel it every centimetre of this game and we're on year 3 in fantastic consecutive years of gaming, for this 40 hours in I haven't encountered a single technical issue or bug which is extremely impressive. Just like a chef, nobody becomes a developer without having passion for it, but they're not the ones who make the decisions. When it comes to giving out keys, that's usually up to the publisher, and publishers are almost always the ones making the bad decisions. You also don't seem to have much of a clue about how complex development is or how little playtesting actually helps vs a full release, it is not possible for a modern game to not need patches, this isn't the 00's anymore. Issues which become obvious when tens of thousands of people play the game were not so beforehand. No doubt you have a better understanding of the technical side than most being a modder (who absolutely deserve appreciation for what they do when it's something beyond a crappy reshade), but actual development? Doesn't seem like it.

That being said, really dumb basic stuff like not having dialogue properly support ultrawide there is absolutely no excuse for. Yet lack of proper (or any) ultrawide support continues to happen game after game after game. It's ridiculous. There's no explanation for it, it's so simple, I want someone from inside a large studio to tell us exactly how this happens, who is responsible, and publicly call out the problem. If you actually watch behind the scenes videos of development studios you'll see ultrawide monitors because they're so good for productivity, they're literally making the game on ultrawides while not including proper support for them. It's madness.

      It works on 16:10

Update: works in dialogues with companions and npc, but doesn't work in cutscenes (dreams, etc)
