Hi, absolute noob, but gonna ask question regardless. I have my game on the ubisoft app, can i mod it via that? im having some the issues and this mod would help me play the game without low res stuffing up.
помогите пожалуйста как это сделать у меня не получается.Надо этот файл куда то перекинуть или как.Я так и не понял.Кто нибудь объяснит как правильно это сделать.
I really want to shut down taa, setting taa to 1 or 0 in the graphic file, but it will cause a bug, grasses will become very ugly with one and one square, do you have any idea about it?
So I had a poke around, firstly you can set TAA to NATIVE, theres a scaling mode which defaults to FIXED and if you set it to OFF it will render native and disable scaling. Then if you manually disable TAA in the settings it works - BUT then you can see the raytracing noise and that looks ugly.
In short, the temporal scaling is used to "fix" the noisy raytracing as far as I can tell. When set to native it looks good to me, I´m not sure why you would want to totally disable TAA, but I imagine the reason they didn't give us the option to completely disable it is because it is needed to gather the rays over several frames and is part of the denoising process.
Perhaps you could try reshade on top of the disabled TAA so then reshade could implemement its own approach to solve the problem but that would probably still require a temporal (time-based) solution so might not fix the problem you're having. Speaking of which, what is it that you are trying to solve? If the game feels blurry you could play with the sharpen2 setting in the graphics settings.
I'll play around more and share here if I find anything useful.
Hi, thank for your reply About the taa, I need it to be banned or set to 1 at any cost(original setting is 3), it is because I need a really sharp original graphic, it really mean a lot to me, the sharping is the last method I will adopt. I play the game on 4k screen so I may accept the aliasing and the noise, even if it is unacceptable to you.. But another bug you may missed, the small grass, on the trees, especially the tree can add health, if you turn the taa in the graphic file to 0 or 1, you will see the grasses turn to an ugly square, this is the problem I am talking about. But it seems you didn't meet with this bug, so I wonder if you saw the square grass. Have you tried to set the taa to 0 or 1 in the mydocuments/MyGames/AFOP/graphic file? If yes and you didn't saw square grasses, I need to know more about it.
Disabling TAA works fine for me and doesn't create blocky grass. What it does do is introduce noisy ghosting artifacts and that's way worse than the perceived problems caused by it being enabled. The "original" mode IS TAA not without and if you can't stomach TAA in principle then why not use DLSS or FSR? This game is based on frame accumulation and turning it off makes everything look awful ESPECIALLY in motion. Anyway, to answer your query about blocky grass, it doesn't seem to have that effect on my setup. If you share more info (GPU, driver version, settings) maybe I can help you track down the problem. Here's a screenshot and I include the cfg text used to produce the image.
I don´t think either of these images are unclear, blurry or have any of the artifacts that people associate with TAA in other titles. What am I missing?
Yeah I had a closer look and walked around and yes I see what you are saying now. The basic answer is - ask yourself which is better - a horrible ugly noisy ghosty game with squares instead of grass. Or TAA enabled which might produce slightly blurry image. It's really much worse without TAA in my opinion. I've disabled TAA on many games before but on this one I don't see the problem personally. Did you try any of the suggestions?
Turn up sharpening with TAA enabled, or use FSR or DLSS. If these don't help then I'm sorry I can't help you.
THANKS A LOT, this works wonder!!! Game looking sharp even on high settings and run well when set on 1024. Hopefully patch after 1.02 doesn't interfere with this trick.

\But!! ....Check out memory consumption in native with 2048 in ini file 🤑
NO FSR/DLSS and no FG
Do you have peeps 16/32? If yes, go head...
