Hi, I'm trying to learn how to mod this game. How would you go about changing the effects of the starting traits selected at the start of a new game? I simply want to remove the negative effects of the "Leader" trait.
Same like Kimsgrim, sometimes they just lie down and I can take their equipment like a corpse, they still follow into the map but can't walk. I guess it's because loaded the file and they are in comatose state in this file. It only works to combat, drinkng poisonous herb tea can still kill your companion.
In the mod tab of UMM it says "UMM should NOT be installed in the game directory" as opposed to your instructions, I'm gonna try that and let you know how it goes. :P
So after murdering everyone at the circus, both my dog and hexagon died, combat has ended and they remain dead. If I leave an area and enter another, their bodies arrive wherever I go lol. still dead with full health. Any fix for this?
EDIT: Was able to edit the lines "stunLeft" to "0" and "inDead" to "false" with the save editor https://atomeditor.azurewebsites.net/ Both companions are alive again. They've died before and got up after the battle, not sure what caused this issue. But that's the fix in case someone else encounters the same problem.
the gog version of the game has a MODs selection menu for enabling and disabling mods.. why make a mod requiring something else when the game itself can manage the mods? i ASSUME the most recent version of the game on steam also has a mod selection? im just puzzled is all.. this game does not have alot of mods around. its not like skyrim or something where managers are needed due it massive amounts of mods. i would only be using this one mod only. so installing a whole manager for just one mod seems like a waste lol. i would like to ask if you would consider to make a version that uses the in game manager?
Thank you very much for the feedback. The in game mod manager uses an older version of the library used in the mod so it is not compatible. However, it is possible to create a similar mods with different approach though I currently do not have any plan to do so. I am really sorry for the inconvenience.
