for some reason the max playable length of the rover for me is 6 anymore than that if it stopped moving or it get stuck on something the 7th rover and beyond would be dragged slowly sinking into the ground
just wanted to see if you could cause i dont know how to edit pak files. The update to the game made it where the chain limit for the train is Six again sadly
He was asking if you could expand the mod to include rail engines, rail cars and C.O.L.E, currently they have a chain cap of 6. Someone else pointed this out in January but i believe you misunderstood him Edit:Or update the mod if it previously did this and is currently bugged
what was the line of code that you needed to change? the modloader needed to use this doesnt have an EXE to launch it like it says it should on another forum. im not gonna be doing server stuff so if i can do a local ini file edit thats good enough for my use
The whole implementation was achieved by changing a IntPropery called "MaxConnectedVehicles" inside "VehicleSlot_GEN_VARIABLE" Export Data that is present in all of the rover versions (Rover_Large, Rover_XL, RoverT1, RoverT2, RoverT2B) from 4 to 9999
I reckon this is from the notes. The description is from Atenfyr - the original author. I personally would not put it like that.
But what he meant is that if you go over 10 carts in a chain, some of them might get stuck on a terrain somewhere or other times if the chain is super long, the last carts will start dragging behind for some reason and pull your tractor/rover back.
I mean the game was not designed to be used with like 100 carts in a chain, so such things should be expected. And there is nothing we can do - this is more of a engine/physics limitation.
However, using 10 carts in a row works perfectly fine for me. It's more like driving a train and you have to mind your tail if you do sharp turns and so on. Quite realistic actually.
P.S. I've changed the description - now it should be more clear.
Okay that makes more sense then . I was thinking it was going to be something like you having to pick up all your existing carts before you installed the mod.
