Hi man, I really love the work you've made with this preset! This looks sooooo good in your video.
Unfortunately, Marty has updated his RTGI and it's now called iMMERSE PRO with changed names for the effects too, i tried to install them and adjust the settings to match what you did but it's really not the same values that you can modify :/ So i downloaded the old RTGI v0.18 to try it with your preset but i can't see any difference with our without the RTGI shader enabled AND a big problem, the ssr is making my game flickering hard, seems to be the verticalFOV setting but can't find any proper value to make it work correctly... I'm so sad to not being able to play this game with your beautiful preset :/
Will you consider updating your preset to the new iMMERSE PRO library or may be you could help me? I really can't understand what's happening there, all effects with the old RTGI enabled seems to make no difference except for flickering issues, like if the qUINT library wasn't read or something... I'm lost maaaann x)
Thx for your work tho, i'll try to adjust the new library to match your preset but i'm pretty new in reshade manipulation
Oh no! So sorry to hear about this. I guess I have to boot up the game again and have a look :(. I have just had a look at the new shaders and I will have to tweak some things I guess. Thank you for letting me know. I cannot promise anything soon but I will do my best to review!
Same problem here. I managed to get the Depth buffer working but using the INVERSE toggle of preprocessor definition; But the flickering issue is there. I tried disabling all HUD elements, I tried disabling AA (by patching the hex of the exe file) using the instruction on pcgamingwiki. The flickering persists. The whole buffer goes out of commission for 200ms or so when looking around. It doesn't happen if you keep moving forward though.
I did some heavy modifications to fit my preferences, but used your preset as a starting point and i'm really happy with the result. Thank you for this!
I'm not a fan of reshades and never was. When it comes to other games, I would usually end up with uninstalling any of all those reshades I've tried. But this one is exactly what I needed for AC Valhalla! Playing with it for two weeks already and I'm very satisfied. When I travel to new regions, I toggle reshade for a moment to see how the area looks like without it and I always prefer the game with this reshade turned on over vanilla. Thank You!
Happy to hear you are enjoying the game in a new way giving purpose and enjoyment! I always toggle it from time to time aswell to truly see the difference! :)
Thank you, on two counts. One, this is a beautiful, naturalistic reshade, and I'm so grateful to have much improved LODs... I can't imagine what they were thinking in vanilla; older games like Dragon Age Inquisition and Witcher 3 have far superior LODs, as does Odyssey, for that matter... I mean, seriously ?!? What ?!? Secondly, thank you for the clear install instructions. I have used Reshade for other games, but I was having trouble getting it to work with Valhalla (I kept crashing at startup). Finally, I found your work, and after following your detailed readme, the game seems to run fine. Cheers!
So glad you enjoy it! Happy to enhance your experience in valhalla :) I agree I am sad that they seemed to have yet cut more corners with this game and the LODs have deteriorated even more. I am not sure why ubisoft has such trouble with quality, performance and optimisation. I have stopped playing valhalla for now as it is really bloated, some great gaming moments and I wanted to love the game but for now I am shelving it.. However playing witcher 3 yet again! I have some reshades for that and some unreleased, I may upload them at some point.
On the Ireland DLC at least, I have issues with the Depth Buffer, i just lose it regularly resulting in the effect stopping and distant "ambiant occlusion" to appear.
Heyo I'm trying out your mod with custom RTGI settings but for some reason, the grass, fur, and hair are super grainy on my end? What can I do to minimize it?
hey, not sure which version you are using unless you have altered the ray amount. Try adjusting the ray amount and the intensity then that should not happen. Also try to lower to ambient occlusion in the RTGI shader

I'm using iMMERSE PRO, along with Reshade 6.0.1
Downgrade to Reshade 5.4.1!
Don't forget the INVERSE toggle of preprocessor def for correct buffer detection.
