It would be a lot of apprciation if anyone could convert this file to empress for me? I lost my save after long hour grinding to get the excalibur and my computer have problem so I forgot to save the saves and install new window. Stuff is gone. I've tried using the tool but not working. If anyone could help me would be much apprciated!
Well perform a search for .save files on your system; that's how I located my ACV save game files; none of the locations listed in Google search results were correct for me. Having said that, the next challenge is changing the same game number to something other than ACV[ManualSave01], that kept getting overwritten by uPlay Connect, and for one reason or another it isn't obvious how to turn off uPlay connect for game backups.
Now having said all that I renamed ACV[ManualSave01].save to ACV[ManualSave02].save, and it's no longer getting overwritten by uPlay, but it's still listed as corrupt. I've seen references to an "Empress" version, which I assume is a cracked version of the game, which I'm not particularly comfortable with.
When you say "this is pretty much a new game plus" can you be a little more specific on where you are in game? Excalibur can be acquired as long as you know where to look and have the stones for it, but to get them you have to plunder I think it was 11 or 13 areas for them.
But you also have to kill all those f*ckers too, which is super hard if you're underleveled. A giant fat knight with double your hit points who endlessly regenerates health is just not a fun fight at all.

ACV[ManualSave01] ---> correct
but make sure you play with empress version, otherwise it willl cost you pretty complex effort to edit the save file id
