   why have a spartan shield if you couldn't even use it where/when it made sense?

      basically it would've made sense for the spartan shield to be in the prev game, having it in viking times really is more of a slap in the face

      idk for me i think it is okay because there is roman ruins so it is okay to have it in the game and kass can't use the shield cause if she use one it will make her look less strong the spear she had was better than a shield in that game

      It can happen if you don't have the same game version. (Which can lead to *patch_01.forge files being different and the forger patch editing the wrong stuff because of this.)
