Welp. The game can't read patch folder past patch_01 anymore, so making mods by making them patch folders for you all to download doesn't seem to be working anymore.
If you have Anvil, you can simply put the file into the patch_01 folder but if you don't then at this current stage (6/5/25) we're kinda stuck.
We're all trying to work on a solution, and I will update this comment when we have figured something out.
I initially did a test of removing them back when I was recoloring it and it looked not great because the outfit was created with them in mind, so it's just like a weird gap there.
And mods are still not working because the patch 2 situation is still not solved. If you have the beta version of Anvil and merge the mod file with patch 1, it can work but differs from people to people. For some it crashes, for some it doesn't. And even then, merging more than one mod into it tends to cause all kinds of issues.
My hands are kinda tied at the moment because I can't really do anything about Ubisoft nuking the patch 2 folder and we currently don't have any other way of making mod files so we're stuck.
I don't know if you've noticed but AC modding is very limited to what it can do, especially this early in a game's release.
I know how to affect textures; how to recolor them, make them invisible, all that jazz. Moving a physical mesh asset on top of something else is way beyond the scope of what Shadows modding is allowing, and I don't know if that will ever change. Maybe once the game reaches EOL and Anvil will be officially updated to allow Shadows modding, but we're probably 2 years away from that happening and even then working with meshes is very different than working with textures.
Congratulations on the work, it was perfect. I would really like to see this same recolor, in black, for templar armor, for Yasuke. It would match much better than the current gold version
