    If you are looking for a version of this mod that doesn't require resorep you are welcome to use my slightly extended version of this mod Better Icons (Forger)
    available on the Nexus. No resorep required for that one. My version does not interfere with reshade.

    How do I make this work with Reshade. Reshade works only with dxgi.dll for me. And this mod works only with d3d11.dll. If I have them both, this mod works but Reshade doesnt.

      For me, both Clear Egypt Reshade and Better Icons only work with d3d11.dll, so I have to choose one of them and it is really frustrating. Any ideas, anyone?

      The only way I can see this working with reshade is to make a forger2 file for it so that it can be used with forger patch manager rather than resorep.  Would be nice if osmeone where to do that.  I have tried looking into doing it myself but cannot understand how to do so yet.

    I'm looking to play this game and was wondering if there was a way to make it so this can work with forger rather than resorep.  I would rather not have to install Java just for one mod, even though this seems to make a big difference.

    Yo, thank you so much for this! I have shitty vision so spotting the icons became a chore and made the game feel harder and more annoying than it should. Your mod solved all of that! Its so much easier to play now as the icons were my biggest complaint. Can see them so clearly now.

      Hi guy! I found something!

      Here you are an alternative method to install mods manually:

      Manual installation method:

      - Copy C:\Windows\System32\d3d11.dll to same folder as game's .exe file.
      - Rename copied d3d11.dll to ori_d3d11.dll (in the game folder, not in the system folder!)
      - Copy dx11proxy64.dll to same folder as game's .exe file.
      - Rename copied dx11proxy64.dll in game folder to d3d11.dll
      - Create dllsettings.txt file in same folder as game's .exe file.
      - Open dllsettings.txt file with Notepad.
      - Put the following text inside dllsettings.txt file:

      version=1.7.0
      modded_textures_folder=C:\Users\RayWing\Documents\Resorep\modded
      mod_creator_mode_enabled=false
      dll_log_enabled=false
      dll_log_file=C:\Users\RayWing\Documents\Resorep\resorepDll.log
      save_textures=false
      original_textures_folder=C:\Users\RayWing\Documents\Resorep\original
      application_to_hook=G:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\NieRAutomata\NieRAutomata.exe|BIT64

      - Download, extract and put modded textures into some folder.
      - Change modded_textures_folder path to folder with modded textures.
      - Change original_textures_folder to some empty existing folder.
      - Change application_to_hook to path to your game's .exe file (add |BIT64 or |BIT32 at the end depending on application bitness, use |BIT64 if you are not sure).
      - Change folder in dll_log_file path to some existing folder.
      - Save and close dllsettings.txt file.
      - Change the dllsettings.txt file extension to dllsettings.ini
      - Run the game.

      Thanks PeinGame, your method solves issues that many people had with Resorep.

      I can't find: dx11proxy64.dll

      I don't have it in the System32 folder ..... :(

      EDIT: The file was in the Download folder from Resorep itself.

      However: Once I got this to work ... now: Nothing work ... Resorep does not work ... .And I don't understand every step PeinGame wrote in his message. When I do for example this: Rename copied dx11proxy64.dll in game folder to d3d11.dll my came don't start anymore at all.

      PS: I'm playing GreedFall to be honest. ;)

    Hey,
    Do you think it might be possible to use same technique to prepare custom UI presets? Lot of us (all of us?) Complain about AC:Origin HUD presets cause it particallary suck :D
    Maybe replacing some of the assets to transparent one and composing them as a replacement for full hud preset would do the trick?

    Do you think you can do the same for Odyssey?

    It's crystal clear to see all the icons now.
    Thank you so much.

    Excellent work Friend, I'm already downloading and rehearsing, congratulations and we hope more valuable contributions like this. I do not know if I'm the only one who suddenly thinks this, but I do not like the outline or highlight that appears on enemies and animals once they have been detected, I feel that the game loses some immersion,
    I think it's enough that the level icon appears on your head and not its outline. Is there any way to eliminate that contour? I would love something that would change that detail. I also agree with the previous partner that the icons of the animals should be modified, they are somewhat confusing and in situations they become annoying.
    Thank you very much for your contribution. Parcero hits!
