Maybe this isn't the best place to do this but this is the only horse retexture mod on Nexus. I'm looking to retexture the Melaina skin for Phobos into something completely different. Did you follow a guide for this or do you perhaps have resources to help a new modder?
There weren't any guides when I did this, but it's quite simple.
You need to download Resorep program and it has an option to scan for textures currently being rendered in the game and extract them. It's a crude way of finding textures, but the only one I'm aware of.
- Turn on the program - Get into the game - Get onto the horse - Wait for Resorep to extract the textures
But as I said it's quite crude and it may or may not even extract the textures you're looking for. Good luck ^^
