Just use AC4Tweaker and set the framerate to 120fps. It is a known issue, surprise surprise, the game locked to 60 fps doesn't really work well when you unlock the fps.
Thanks bruv, I just finished Pirates of the Caribbean with the kids and wanted to jump back into Black Flag - only to be locked to a paltry 60fps. Works like a charm!
sorry to bother, i downloaded this, kinda works, kinda doesn't (probably a game problem). This exe in fact raised the FPS, not capped at 63 FPS anymore.
But I'm having a 130 FPS max with a 10700k AND A RTX 4070 Ti 1440p resolution.
I had all settings maxed. When I put all of them around half value (medium or normal instead of highs and very highs) the GPU usage lowered instead if raising the FPS (I did also change CPU affinity).
might be, i've set affinity to cores, didn't work, i've tried lowering resolution to 1080p (suggested by some knowledgeable guy that this game works better on 1080p than 1440p), nothing changes... FPS won't go higher than 133 FPS. That's why I'm asking now if it's really "240 FPS PATCH" mod.
Sorry if it seems I'm "doubting" this patch. I'm not CPU bottlenecked, I've been doing some troubleshooting with someone on a reputable community. They also only get 137 FPS, they managed 170 but without NPCs on some area. Second, is the 240 FPS only working on AMD? At what resolution did you achieve 240 FPS and what PC specs? Yes, I've disabled PhysX, but that's a non issue here, that just drops FPS on smokes, with or without PhysX on a non smoke area, it's "locked" at 133 FPS.
Installed, played the game a couple days ago and it worked great. Today, the game crashes when I select my save file. Any ideas of what's happening? I have no other mods.
Okay I figured out the issue, I initially started that save file with the Fullscreen fix exe file and then replaced it with the 240 fps exe. Somehow it miraculously ran the first time but it ran into a fatal error now since it was trying to load data that didn't exist anymore. So I can't use this mod unless I can parse them together somehow (like a compatibility patch).
no i even reinstalled the game, and it did work 1 time when i launched the game directly via the modded exe (not steam) out of like 15 tries, which is strange to me since it seems to not let me boot up past a specific point
does this mod work only for copies that are actually bought from ubisoft or does cracked versions suffice. I have the cracked version and the exe shows error that UPLAY_USER_IsOwned not located in dynamic link library
