I am commanderdeRuyter and this is my favourite three-decker mod for AC4! .
It seems, that AC4 shipyards are ruled by secret brotherhood that forbids to provide players with detailed description of their mods. Thus for benefits of the enthusiasts who still sail Caribbean waters, avoiding gallows and collecting treasures: Out of the just a few(!) tested, so far the best one.
Cons (yes, cons always ruin fun that's why it is better to start with them): * no heavy shots (but - no big deal, still you should know) * no fire-barrels (but wait: When have you used them to effect for the last time? Forget them!) * chain shot is hard as front view is obstructed by mass of the ship (what did you expect??? It's three-decker!) * short range mortar (Jackdaw top version ~500 meters, 3-decker ~330 meters range) * rather low health (can be seen as positive point, no overkill) * rear cabin part lack textures in internal ports (but physical model is there, so you do not fall through the ship, you can climb and walk it there to reach the wheel * no-entry to the cabin (yes, forget about your fleet! - shared trait with all these mods)
Pros (that's why you are here): * three-decker under your command! * plug-and-play (no special installation procedure. Just backup original files and copy new ones) * view and feel from the wheel is: AMAZING!!! * climbing (ship is fully climbable from the water, all structures, masts, ropes accessible - thus you can fully utilize them when boarding enemy ship) ?* broadside aimnig works (once again - not true for all mods) * sails do not block forward vision (frigate mods suffer from this) * killer mortars (1 full hit leaves pirate-hunters' 3-decker dead in water or one side-salvo from being dead in water) * has swivel gun (not everyone has it) * height (yes, combine height of your deck with swivel and 2/3 of the boarding job is done by those 5 shots. You can even shot snipers up on the tops) * your sailors join boarding (not as Jackdaw crew, still there are few. On some mods you are alone!!! So you are not attacked by whole enemy's crew, neither you are loosing that much of your own sailors) * visible in internal ports/cities (with minor issue, yet marvel compared to legendary ships) * no unlocking, re-unlocking (yes, take legendary ships and any travel to interior port, loading the game etc. will reset your ship and you will have to go through the unlocking process again. Not here! One of the best selling points for me) * average health (yes, you are not immortal ship able to take fight on 3 3-deckers and pack of frigates. You have to think and position yourself before opening fire. On average/longer distances you will mostly win engagements with reasonable(!) number of opponents. Allow frigate to get to your side and it will spam heavy broadsides in you chewing through your health-bars like hot knife through the butter. You are alpha predator as long as you are not "stupid alpha predator" = "shipwreck" * no alliance (some mods make you allied with your prey - Englishmen or Spaniards. Annoying like hell) * pistols (it doesn't reduce your pistol pack to just one piece like some other mods. bang-bang-bang-bang!) * 2nd lieutenant (your 2nd in command is not replaced by some generic character. Yep, nice redhead lady is better than guy even in fancy royal navy uniform!)
Hi. Just another question about AC IV modding: I tried several times to change my “Nosso Senhor” ship into the “HMS Victory” ship. For this case, I was swapping out the IDs of the “Bow_BW, Deck_DK and Hull_HL” (and also the “Entity” ones) files. Well, I was trying to do this with the “SHP_MOW_BFleet” (which stands for Man O War British Fleet I guess?) files.
But the problem is, the ship is still invisible and once I get closer to it, the whole crew starts to fall in the water! Can anyone please provide me the files to do this? Do I need "Resorep" to change the textures of my ship? Thank you very much for your help!
since the ship uses assets from the british and pirate hunter man o wars, which only load in the open Caribbean, they wont load correctly in closed off areas.

I have a little question for you, do you remember which file in DataPC.forge you modified to set the crew boarding please?
Thank you for your help

Otherwise yes - it is that simple for this mod, you cast overwrite original files.
