It works in story but later on in story, i suggest only using it past the mission when you go to the fishing village and go into the captains cabin for the first time. And if you progress in the story i believe 2 missions will not allow you to pass because there will be no story icon. Simply switch back to the jackdaw to progress in the story, then switch back to all your mods that you have downloaded (if you want to) to be able to progress in the story
Could you please make a standalone mod that only gives us these retextured pirates for Edward's crew?
You have already done the replacement for these character models, so I reckon it wouldn't be difficult for you, and I've been looking for a mod that changes Edward's originally uniformed crew to a more realistic pirate crew for years now and would greatly appreciate it!

Doing the story with it I'll switch it back if anything wacky happens.

However it appears that the description for the mod is wrong as it says it is charles vanes ship, the ranger.
