dxwnd allows you to run apps in windowed/windowed fullscreen so alt tab doesnt crash a game.
Here is how to use Opentexmod/Umod with dxwnd
Run both in admin
If AC2 is in wrong resolution or yours is missing go to video in dxwnd and change screen resolution to your preference. 4:3 16:9 only i think. You have to save dxwnd preset as well. May need to set it to desktop, run in window and early hook. I created a batch file and converted it to exe: it launches dxwnd and texmod then I launch game from texmod and dxwnd will autohook as long as its open and the exact exe and path are listed in it.
I'm assuming when step 6 says that you have to repeat these steps for the mod to work every time you start the game, it meant EVERY step because that's the only way I've been able to get this mod to work. I'm assuming the whole point of the global hook is that it's supposed to automatically detect when the game is running, but it isn't working properly.
Quick Edit: now it's just not working at all, uMod won't detect a thing and neither will Texmod.
Hi! I followed your instructions and Umod does not work. I tried Texmod but that also doesn't work, unless I did something wrong. Please help as I would love to use your mod!

Any chance you would be able to create keyboard icons(default) for AC2 hud?
