I think (((I think ))) I have found the problem. The mod works perfectly if you use texmod. but for some reason the only thing that doesn't change are the 4 buttons at the top of the screen. All the others come from PlayStation. that is to say. tutorials, menus etc. so I decided to unzip the tpf. In the notepad there are 18 lines while in png files, there are 22. 18 + 4 = 22. (if you came to the same conclusion that I, yes. precisely just 4 buttons missing) so I think you renamed some files wrong, or you forgot some when packing. or something like that. So I ask you please if it is possible. Check and remake the package to see if we find the problem.
Something strange happens to me, I use texmod. apparently it works. In the menu, the PlaystatIon buttons appear. In the sequences that tell you to press a button, the PlayStation button appears. (for example, the part at the beginning of the game where they tell you to press square repeatedly so that Ezio hits Cesare Borgia) but in gameplay the buttons in the upper right corner come out of Xbox. because? I use a PS4 controller with DS4
to anyone wondering, no there will never be a mod replacing the generic "button 1" etc to PS button. because of how the game made those generic buttons "texture", its simply not possible to replace it (at least with the method this mod use). so your best bet is to use something like x360ce / ds4windows to mask your controller as xbox controller..
Hey, I wanted to ask for a bit of help with this one as well. The mod you made for Assassin's Creed I and II worked flawlessly, but I am having trouble with this one. I am following the same methodology used for the previous two games.
-Open uMod -Add ACBSP.exe -Check Global Hook -Launch Brotherhood -Alt-tab -Load file and click "Update (reload)"
But when I go back to the game, it still says "button 1, button 2, button 3" etc. rather than the PlayStation icons. I know that the previous games used dedicated "head, legs, and arms" symbols rather than "button 1, button 2" symbols. But I am not sure as to why this wouldn't be working like it did before. Is there a trick I am missing? I've done the standard restarts, reinstalling, run as admin, etc. tricks. Is there some assistance you could provide?
Upon closer inspection, this mod is specifically for "converting the Xbox buttons to PlayStation ones." Previous Assassin's Creed games used unique "head, legs, and arms" buttons, and the mod replaced those with PlayStation icons. But from Brotherhood and beyond, those unique "head, legs, and arms" buttons are no longer in the game, and they use Xbox icons or generic "button 1, button 2, button 3" prompts instead.
And remember this mod is specifically for "converting the Xbox buttons to PlayStation ones." It converts Xbox buttons only, not generic "button 1, button 2, button 3" prompts.
My problem was that the game thought I was using a generic third-party controller like a Logitech or MadCatz or something, so it wasn't even displaying Xbox icons -- it was showing the generic "button 1, button 2, button 3" prompts instead. Because this mod is specifically for "converting the Xbox buttons to PlayStation ones," and the game wasn't even showing the Xbox button in the first place, there was therefore technically no texture for the mod to replace.
If a mod replacing the generic "button 1, button 2, button 3" prompts in addition to Xbox icons with PlayStation buttons also existed, that would fix this problem. But my issue is that Brotherhood won't see my controller as an Xbox controller, and therefore this mod can't replace prompts that don't technically exist.
As a workaround, I used x360ce to trick Brotherhood into thinking that my controller was indeed an Xbox controller. Then it started displaying the Xbox buttons that I could then use this mod to inject the PlayStation icons over. Worked like a charm. The trick was getting the Xbox icons to show up in the first place, because this mod only replaces those Xbox buttons and not the generic "button 1, button 2, button 3" prompts. A separate mod would be needed for that.

thanks for your mods.
EDIT: If I use umod it just doesn't work
-Open uMod
-Add ACBSP.exe
-Check Global Hook
-Launch Brotherhood
-Alt-tab
-Load file and click "Update (reload)"

I did every step mentioned, updated (reload) and nothing changed
Is the mod broken now, or am I missing something?
