excellent mod for 1 very simple reason that isn't even related to immersion; it gets your big fat *** out of the way of seeing what your enemies are doing.

installed the mod, but it made my currently equipped left and right hand weapons just disappear from the game, and only by restoring the backup bin did they come back; will there be a fix for this, if possible?

By any chance are cockpits possible? It would be really cool especially for vr. MechWarrior5 has a really good vr mods with cockpits fully redone for vr.

I've not been able to get the mod to work with the current 1.06.1. Has anyone else been playing lately? I've done the .bin replacement, and tried some witchybnd as described below but i've not had any success.

Through a combination of looking at a few different places, I have a first person regulation.bin that works for the current 1.06.1 patch of Armored Core.

Will there be any plans of making this mod able to be enabled/disabled via hotkeys? Would love to switch between camera positions between inspecting environmental aspects/ my buddy's AC, and then going back to third person in certain combat scenarios.

Next time I'm playing AC6 and feel like dealing with regulation editing, I can see if I can pull it off. Otherwise if you're feeling like doing it yourself, you could crack open the fromsoft regulation editor, and copy the values found in either my regulation bin for first person view, or you CAN find the settings in the main file for this mod, it's just a little trickier to work with. Anyway put those first person changes into the next regulation.bin and see how it goes.

I found help in the other camera mod for AC6, cobbled together info and guides from those pages.

I've been trying to get this to work too and I think the latest update to the game has caused it to be incompatible, though that's just my best guess. Anyone know if this is still being worked on? It's almost the whole reason I got the game.
    2. The game was updated 2 days ago. If the author intends to update the mod I'd expect a few days at the very least.
Can't blame you for getting the game for this mod, I'm personally very fond of it as well.

So, I recently purchased the Steel Battalion controller that I plan to use in tandem with this Mod just days before the Update happened and the controller will be here today. Anyone have any idea if the creator of this mod plans to update this to work with the current version of the game or not?

It can be unpacking/repacking using WitchyBND v2.1.0.0.
      It doesn't work after v2.1.1.0.
      1. Drag and drop 1.05 regulation.BIN to WitchyBND.EXE. Then a regulation-bin folder will be created.
      2. Overwrite LockCamParam.PARAM (loose file of First Person Camera's optional files) into the regulation-bin folder.
      3. Drag and drop the regulation-bin folder to WitchyBND.EXE.
      4. Overwrite regulation.BIN to "\\ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON\Game".

To LegionPuppy, Glad I could be of help.

Also, here's how to change the FOV.
      1. Drop LockCamParam.PARAM onto Witchy. Then LockCamParam.param.XML is created.
      2. Open LockCamParam.param.XML with Notepad or something.
      3. Change defaultValue="65" of "camFovY" on line 27 to any number.
      4. Drop XML onto Witchy.
      5. Overwrite PARAM into regulation-bin folder.
      6. Drop regulation-bin folder onto Witchy.
      7. Overwrite BIN into Game folder.

      To SentinelTekSaka.
v2.1.1.0 causes an error when using modified data...why?
      Don't double-click WitchyBND.EXE. Drop the file onto WitchyBND.EXE icon.

Btw, I'm running an ultra wide 49". I'm not doing this correctly. I get the new reg folder but not new witchyBND reg.bin. also the script in Notepad is not legible.
      Sorry to be a pain

When I went to drop the lockcam par the witchyBND gave me a warning and then created a BAK. I am good at porting games and such from Japan but not too good with this.

I ran it in ultrawide and it worked fine. The monitor shouldn't be the culprit. Maybe it's due to file renaming. Witchy cannot use renamed files. Sorry, please find out how to use it yourself.

      For All,
YaGaming is a legend and a patient one at that.
Mistakes I made maybe some might too
      1. Use the reg.bin from AC6 and not the camera mod regulation bin.
      2. Make sure to use the witchyBND 2.1.0.0. no other (at least for me)
      3. Do copy the original 1.05 reg bin and save to folder but you can verify your AC6 files to redownload the bin file
      4. Just copy the 1.05 reg.bin into the WitchyBND exe and wait.
      6. A regulation folder will be created
      5. From the camera mod download loose param file and drop that file into the new regulation folder
      7. Drag that regulation folder onto the WitchyBND exe.
      8. A new Regulation bin file will be created.
      9. Drag that new reg.bin into the AC6 game folder
      10. Run the game
      11. Make sure in Graphics settings under quality turn off motion blur.
This worked for me and not without the help of YaGaming!!!

That is really strange, did the same thing happen if you reinstall/validate files?

I had a weird problem where the update overwrote SOME of the modded regulation, but disabled the mod and caused an "Inappropriate behavior" message to pop up. I backed up regulation and copied it over again, which fixed all errors. I wonder if it maybe similar to what is happening to you zekebloke. Steam  should just be overwriting invalid or outdated files with the update, so why mine should have given an error is probably the same reason yours isn't updating.

IE the settings are being kept in other files, too, that either aren't being overwritten or are maybe write protected?

      Is weird, that's for sure.

Also having this issue, I used the regulation.bin file, backed up my original, and after trying to replace the file with the original, first person does not go away. Somehow I've also been able to straight up delete the regulation.bin file, not even replace it, and the game still runs fine, but the first person mode persists. I'm about to do a fresh install because verifying files on Steam does nothing to solve the issues.

Edit: I completely uninstalled the game via steam, and then redownloaded it; still have the issue. Anyone know a fix? I like first person and all, but I'd REALLY like to go back without having to, hell, delete my save. I completely 100% the game in terms of loot and endings, I'd had to lose it all now.

SUPER EDIT, a day later: I've done everything to revert to the original files in an attempt to get third person back, and the only fix I have? Removing my saves. No matter what, my old save files are always first person now. ATM after dealing with this? Cannot recommend the mod to anyone unless you want it stuck on your save. If someone knows a fix for my saves, I'd be greatful.

If anyone gets the exact same problems as me, here's the fix I found:

Bit strange, but the backup, default regulation.bin file was not actually reverting everything back to normal, as whatever code causes a FPS like camera lingers in the save data. To fix this, I straight up just got another mod that messes with regulation.bin annnnnd... that fixed it. Strangely enough, I was also able to then replace that .bin file with the original backup, and everything worked fine and returned to normal. No clue why this mod in specific lingers in your save data.
