TxNaicxis specifically is not allowed to use my work.
From KnightValfodr concerning TxNaicxis, originally found on KRDCD's Shrieker kitbash:
As for the Armoury mod being discontinued and the accusations of jealousy being thrown at the rest of the modding community, you, the people angrily commenting on the Armoury mod page and other boards like 4chan, are all being misled and gaslit into thinking TxNaicxis is a victim when he's chiefly responsible for his own downfall. It is a known fact that the Armoury modder purposely tampers his mod with assert trips to try to prevent it from being edited and deter people from reverse-engineering parts of it, and the moment that a couple of modders figured out on their own how some parameters work after being denied advice/ghosted by TxNaicxis, he blocked them and accused them of "stealing" his work. TxNaicxis also stalks the modders' Discords with an alt in search of people he thinks "stole" from him, which is asinine since he's essentially patenting param editing and model references that can be figured out on DSMapStudio/Smithbox, a public modding tool he didn't even develop, with enough understanding of how the parameters and model importing function.
Either way, you should have seen the warning signs when he refused to address complaints about the unbalanced difficulty of the Armoury mod and mostly only answers to comments praising him. While there were indeed instances of modders actually stealing from the Armoury mod without understanding the inner workings, the above beef simply was not one of those instances and he has demonstrated his paranoia time and again; you getting kicked out of his Patreon is proof of it.
Some people will keep saying that TxNaicxis was chased out of the modding community, but in reality, he never was part of it in the first place as he never let anyone contact him. He's a recluse who happened to be so far ahead of everyone when it comes to working with a tool that is publicly available, and instead of sharing his knowledge to bolster the modding scene, childishly flips out at anyone who even dares to include anything remotely similar to the Armoury in their mod project, plays the victim card and sics his followers on his critics. It's his narcissism in full display, nothing else.
To my knowledge, TxNaicxis will either come back to Elden Ring modding (where he held a similarly controversial "My mod isn't unfair, you're just bad at the game" stance), or stop modding altogether; whatever the choice, I hope he can learn to grow as a person and acknowledge the hubris of holding a mod as more sacred than the game itself.
No one in the community is jealous of Tx. I personally am more disappointed that he went to such lengths to be a social pariah towards the community, to the point that he's even been spotted lurking on alternate accounts looking for anyone mentioning studying his work so he can block them on Discord and from his Mod page. It came as a surprise when he blocked me, because despite what I thought was a good rapport that we'd temporarily had, he decided I was personae non grata and gave me similar treatment, wherein I retroactively redacted my permission for him to use my work. I'm sure any reasonable person will agree that this is entirely fair treatment, considering the reputation he has - not skill-wise, but based on his personality.
I defended Tx multiple times with what I thought was the full story, only to later be introduced to his immaturity firsthand. None of you understand the full context of what's going on behind the scenes, only the victim mentality that Tx has instilled not only in himself, but has convinced other people of.
We do not envy Tx. Quite the opposite.
We pity him deeply.
This kind of behavior would be a serious problem in one's personal and professional lives. I speak from experience, because I was and in some ways still am that kind of person. I have borderline personality disorder, I'm diagnosed Bipolar Type 2 and ADHD. All of these combine into a general inability to handle adult situations like an adult, and much of my past behavioral extremes (pre-therapy / pre-medication) are more parallel to Tx's pattern of behavior than he would likely be comfortable admitting. I understand what he's doing, why, and the feelings surrounding it, which is why I can safely say that Tx needs help more than he needs to be defended, and a big step towards helping someone like that is no longer accepting their childish behavior. I can tell you from experience that this feels like bullying, so I understand why - when we collectively stopped putting up with it - he was quick to pull the victim card and write us all off as jealous trolls; it's much easier to hate an external source of pain than accept that you are the reason you feel the way you do.
I and many others hope Tx gets the professional help he needs, and that he comes back to the community with a much more open mind and a willingness to admit to his mistakes. He does great work, and he personally inspired me to get into Armored Core modding, so I'm disappointed to see him leave the modding scene under these circumstances. I am not saddened by it, however, because Tx was without question toxic not only to us, but also to his fans, as proven when he blocked his Patreon supporters, and the many times he's responded to critique with... Let's say, something less than humility.
Just got a chance to play with the mod, really like the parts, but especially the legs. Thanks for making this! Watched a video on YouTube of your upcoming stuff. I am pretty excited about the High-density plasma weapon. The sounds it makes is amazing.
Thank you very much for the positive feedback! I put a lot of effort into making the AVISPA. Glad you found my YouTube channel, too. The SONWANDELAAR HD Plasma Rifle is one of the first weapons I ever modeled, so thanks for showing interest in it. It took me a while to find the right sounds for it, and I was worried it was a little too much, but people generally seem to like it, much like the sound of the Needle Driver - which I've recently remodeled, since I was unhappy with the previous one. The new model will be included with the parts pack when I release it.
Do these new parts replace pre-existing parts? It seems like they do, as at 3:13 in this video when it shows off the modded FCS, the "FCS-G2/P12SML" Furlong Dynamics FCS seems to be missing (where it can be noted by the scroll bar size that the number of parts available seems unchanged despite the new "addition").
I'm even more confused as for generators at 3:16 in the same video, the scroll bar is actually different (slightly smaller, using the rightmost bottom corner of the Yaba generator icon as a reference) than the vanilla game, which implies the amount of entries is larger than normal.
I understand that they have their own unique stats, models, functions, descriptions, and names. I just want to make sure they aren't taking someone else's seat on the bus.
Its one thing to take someone else's seat on a bus, but its an entirely different thing to create your own seat out of thin air.
Note: I'm not trying to hate on your work, I'm just very passionate about the ability of a mod to add entirely new content without impacting what's already there, as I see it as a sign of IMMENSE potential for larger content mods (like Terraria's Calamity mod).
Part of me still can't believe it, but the scroll bar doesn't lie. This could be the start of something truly amazing (not that this isn't already even without considering the inventory integration)...
I'd recommend making an alternate save file for anything mod-related, but if you do happen to use a modded save and load into vanilla, it won't brick your game. At worst, an AC with unavailable parts will load in as invisible.
These new weapons are beautiful. I don't know if you're familiar with Archivist2's ENCORE mod, but I'd love to see you two collaborate together. Thank you for all the work you put in.
Thank you! I haven't played ENCORE, but I'll certainly have to give it a shot, now. Maybe we'll collaborate in the future! I'm already pretty swamped with work, since I'm on two separate mod teams, as well as working on my own parts pack. Thanks for the recommendation!
By all means, feel free to cover the mod however you'd like! I'm always open to receiving more critique / potential ideas for bugfixes, if you find any. I'm also checking out your YouTube channel - I assume you're Jack-O?
Thank you so much for making new weapons and parts for ACVI, it's the one thing I've been hoping for since I finished the game!
Especially making new parts and so on without making some huge crazy overhaul of everything else in the game, it's why I quit trying to use Armoury. Ever since then I've been looking for ways to just add new parts instead of just reskins or overhauls like that, so this is a breath of fresh air.
Love the new stuff, and can't wait to see what you do next!
Hey there, thanks for the feedback! I'm trying to separate myself from Armoury as much as possible by creating fully custom models and unique weapon behaviors, so thank you for liking them. Here's a preview of the parts pack I'm working on, showing a few new frame parts and weapons in action.
Yeah, that's exactly what I like about your work! And wow, yeah these look great! I really felt like the lack of parts is what hurt ACVI the most, so this is exactly what I was hoping for to make it perfect.
Great to see some classic styled parts coming back too, and I've missed having more big back weapons like that cannon XD
Good luck on the rest of this, it's gonna be a huge deal for me when I finally get to play with em!
Is this mod compatible with the Co-op mod and the Inferno mod? I'm doing a playthrough with a friend and seeing this I thought it'd be a good idea to expand our weaponry a bit more. AVISPA looks amazing btw, you really managed to capture Elcano's design language well despite it being mostly a kitbash. I look forward to what you will bring in the future!
Will there be additional custom parts that you will add, cause I commented before that I love this mod and even recreated a NEXT from For Answer (Lisa) so I'm just wondering if you will add additional parts.
I'm nearing completion of a parts pack which - including the AVISPA and my WA-FINGER weapon - will have 50 brand new parts across weapons, frame parts, internal parts, and boosters.
This looks awesome! Would you be willing to take a request for modifying another core part from the base game? I was wondering if you could modify the Mind Alpha core part so that the shoulders/arm connection points are lower down and closer to the body. To give it a bit more of a humanoid position for the arm connection.

(also I would love to try it out but I don't have a mod-loader set up)
The new rifle's firing sound is the stuff of wet dreams. Fantastic work bro.

I am trying to run it alongside an arena mod and this is prob user error, but it does not pop up in my game.
