I thought about that too, the biggest problem would be where to fit it in the UI. I feel like the construction menus are already quite bloated. But yes, generally it should mostly be possible.
Hm it should be an additional building tab when sorting by type. I did not, and at least currently do not plan to, add buildings to the progress menu. I think they are only unlocked if you have unlocked any building from it. Is the New World already unlocked in your save?
Hey, I'm not quite sure what you mean. With this mod I did not want to mod any buildings apart from unlocking them in the other regions. If you want to mod a specific building, that should be a seperate Mod IMO.
You can try to suggest your modding idea in the modding discord, maybe someone will pick it up :)

I can now Finally have "Palm Trees" along the beach in old World. Looks Great.
