What this mod does, brief overview:
  • Reduces fields needed by all crop farms to fall more in line with previous installments of Anno.
  • Reworks silos and tractors.
  • Buffs the "Arborist" specialist to Epic quality.

Details below!!

I am one of those players who played other Anno installments thoroughly (though not as much as 1800 <3) and I've always found that the base amount of fields required for crop farms was just simply too high. This mod reduces the fields required. Simple as that. It also changes the way silos and tractors work.

UPDATE 1.2:
Added GU 16 farms and slightly buffed the silo.
Reworked Chef Michel: Now replaces goulash with peppers(paprika).
Reason 1: A vegetarian option is nice.
Reason 2: The canned food icon represents a paprika more than a pig.
Reason 3: I've had islands full of pig pens and barely any farms, that seemed... illogical?

--------------------------------------
-- DETAILED DESCRIPTION --
  • Changed ALL crop farms (though not hacienda farms, they are strong already!) to reduce the amount of fields required.
  • Field reduction is different from farm to farm, but averages out at about a 30% reduction in fields needed.
  • Reworked silos and tractors so that they no longer provide a productivity boost but instead give +goods per x cycles.
      >> This results in less carts to your warehouses for a similarly strong buff to your overall productivity.
      >> Silos' crop and tractors' fuel consumption have been tweaked accordingly.
  • Raised the status of the "Arborist" specialist to Epic, and buffed its effects to match.
      >> This is more of a personal choice/favourite of mine and it blends in really well with excessive tractor usage (totally not guilty of that *cough*).

NOTE: If you load this mod on an ongoing save, you will notice that most of your farms are a few % off on their field coverage, this will likely not result in a production difference but if you run other mods touching farms as well you might have to re-do some farming islands.

While it is unusual for me to share something that makes the game "easier", it felt right to share <3
I strive for a balanced game, as usual ^^
Enjoy <3
