    In case you still wondering I have latest game with all and mod still works just wish someone would add enbesa and artic especially6 last one since I use a pirate mod leah...something have to use those turrets. And pirate mod works also if you like play with little help ignore pirate mod waves are 100+ ships good thing is they drop anything so imagine the water with 100+ items to pick up lol.

    Hey,

    Harbour Life used to allow you to place these anywhere but not anymore. I would like to use this but what detours me is the description stating they are more powerful. Is it possible to release a version of this that just affects placement so I can place them anywhere with the same stats, or can you provide me with the necessary edits so I can make them myself? I do not know the base values to change them, otherwise I would.

    EDIT:
    I found the Anno 1800 Asset Viewer and was able to find the necessary values for Big Betty and change them accordingly. Now I can use this mod just for being able to build Big Betty off the coast, so thank you a lot for that! I hope I don't run into the issues below from Eagleeyes777, but I'm not raising the values but instead lowering.

      What are the original parameters?
      Can the AI also put it on the water or only the player?

    This mod is great for added protection on your islands. I also tried extending just a little the attack range and line of sight, by increasing the values therein but in-game it did extend the line of sight but the attack will only trigger using its default distance/range no matter how I increase it. Could you help me out on this. I just want to accomplish extending the attack range a bit further.  The lines I was changing were the following:

    <AttackRange>150</AttackRange>
    <LineOfSightRange>150</LineOfSightRange>
    <AccuracyBase>1</AccuracyBase>
    <AccuracyIncreaseOverDistance>150</AccuracyIncreaseOverDistance>
    <CorrespondingAccuracy>150</CorrespondingAccuracy>

    I am missing something?

      Sorry I have been a bit busy to do any Modding, I will have a look at it and get back to you when time permits.

      The problem  have in testing this is getting a hostile ship within range, I will have to start a new game and see what happens, but the values you have changed are the correct values for extending the range, strange it does not work !

      The xml values seem to be saved at the start of a new game and from what I've seen can't be changed mid-game simply by changing the mods xml. I believe these values are saved somewhere in the savegame file. The fastest way to get the modified values to be applied is to start a new game. Hope this helps.

      Sorry  I do not understand this comment, did you mean to ask if the AI can build these or are you saying that you have seen the AI build these ?

      I am currently running a game with 3 AI players, none have built this weapon, but I will see what happens next.

      Update been playing 3 AI opponents for numerous hours, I have declared war and attacked them, they still they do not build big betty modified or otherwise,

      Yes AI use these aswell.
