    No idea how to use it. Installed it, it seems to work but I don't know what to press because I don't see the options you mentioned in the description. F1-3 keys only work for sound as usual

      What do you mean "F1-3 keys only work for sound as usual"? Those keys shouldn't be doing anything in-game by default. Press the Home key to bring up the Reshade menu, do you see an Add-on tab? Do you see ShaderToggler listed under that tab? If not, you need to make sure you installed the Add-on version of Reshade.

      It sounds like you didn't install the Add-on version of Reshade. This isn't a preset.

      If u mean that "reshade with addon support" file that can be downloaded from external link then I did. I even have the "reshade-shaders" folder now. Still the menu doesn't want to recognize it.

      UPD: Found what you meant, but only the second option (brightened picture for alien and predator) works. Others simply don't no matter which keys I choose.

      Toggling the HUD doesn't require any .fx files, those are for Reshade effects. All I can suggest is to reinstall Reshade to the game.

    is there any way to remove indicators like mission indicators aswell? also for example jump stamps as the Predator or the E calling? thx for the mod by the way =)

    Thank you for making this mod. I don't see any visual differences with the F3 brightened shadow toggle as Alien. Is it perhaps not automatically enabled? If so, how do I enable it/set F3 as hotkey?

    Also, it looks like more often than not, my screen whites out when I hit ESC to get to the in-mission menu. I can still hear the sounds of my selecting different buttons on this menu, but the screen stays static and frozen like this until I kill the game. Is it a known issue, and is there a workaround for it?

      I'll look into both of these in a day or two, and no, you shouldn't need to manually enable the F3 toggle or anything. I did notice that one was a little funky though, it could be that the shader doesn't stay the same on each level load, unfortunately.

      Alright so I'm struggling to reproduce the whiting-out bug you showed in your screenshots. The only way I can see that is if I turn off the HUD while paused, or pause while the HUD is already toggled off. That's not what you're doing, is it? If so, you just turn the HUD back on to see the menu, since it shares a lot of the same shaders.

      If you want to pause mid-action and take a screenshot, what you can do is press Tab to bring up your objectives and then toggle off the HUD, it'll appear like you're still playing but with the game still paused.

      Also, the F3 toggle is working fine when playing as a Xenomorph, I've tested a few different levels. A good test to check if it's not working on your end would be to go into a vent (Colony has one right at the start), this is what I see when I press F3:
      
      You might also want to press F2 here and see if the color filter is working for you, these vent walls at the start of Colony will go from that brownish color above to a bit more blue.

      One more thing to note: I've noticed at the start of some Xeno missions like Colony, the screen will be blacked out if you use the F2 color filter toggle for like, 30 seconds. I have no idea why, but switching it off and then back on after a bit has it working again. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Queen giving you objectives.

      For me, the whiting-out bug is appearing when the HUD is turned on. If HUD is turned off, there is no issue, and the same goes for Tab mission objectives.

      I went to that spot in Colony and did a visual comparison with yours. There is definitely no togglability with my F3 key, and I don't want to tamper with Reshade settings to try and fix it. The F2 key does work however.

      I have also encountered the temporarily blacked out screen on Colony and Jungle missions. Haven't tested the other missions yet.

      Unfortunately, I am now getting more sudden crashes than I'm used to. If it persists, I may have to do integrity verification of files to identify the source of the problem. Hopefully it's not this. Only other major mod I have installed is the skip intro animations mod.

      It kinda sounds like you didn't install the addon version of Reshade then if the F3 toggle isn't working? But you said the HUD toggling works? Strange...

      You may need to re-install the game and then the mod. You definitely shouldn't be getting that white-out effect in the tab menu because that effect specifically comes from using the ESC pause menu, and Reshade should never be causing any crashes.

      Also you don't need to install any mods to skip the intro, just delete fox.bik, rebellion.bik and sega.bik from the FMV folder after reinstalling the game.

      Also also, just to make sure, you are running the game in DX11 mode, right? If not, that's the issue. Right-click the game on Steam, go to properties, then launch options, set it to DirectX 11.

      I had the addon version of Reshade installed, and it is always definitely DX11. Re-installed the game and the mod, but I guess it refuses to work now. Huh.

      Well, I see why it's not working for you now after reinstalling the game, you forgot to install the toggle mod! You're missing ShaderToggler.ini and ShaderToggler.addon in that folder.

      If after putting those back in, if the toggles still aren't working, try deleting that extra "Reshade2" ini file you have there, I'm not sure why you'd have two config files for Reshade. If it's still not working after that, I'll try zipping up and sharing all of my Reshade files so you have the exact same version and setup as me.

      ShaderToggler.ini and ShaderToggler.addon were in the MODS folder. I have now moved them to the root folder. Also deleted Reshade2, but hasn't made a difference so far. Let's see what happens when importing your setup.

      Alright try deleting all Reshade files/folders (including reshade-shaders), then add mine. Hopefully this works.

      Also what's that 202kb Reshade text file that you have? That's the only other file I don't have.

      If after using my files it still doesn't work, could you try rebinding the F3 toggle? Follow the rebind steps on the mod description, except edit the F3 toggle instead of the HUD toggle. All of the other toggles work for you, right? The Marine/Predator color filter toggles?

      Alien Shadow vision toggle is rebinded and supposedly active. Does the visual look right? The shadows look like the vanilla game, and there are no apparent differences when toggling it on or off.


      The Reshade text file seems to be a performance log. Resets after a reinstall, so now it's 13kb. Looks like this:

      Hm, to me that screenshot looks like you still have the brightened shadows. Do the other toggles work for you now? It looks like the warping toggle (F1) is working there, do you also notice a difference with the Xeno color filter toggled on (F2)? It depends on the level, Colony isn't quite as noticeable as the first level, for example.

      I'm really not sure why the shadow toggle isn't working on your end though, I've run out of ideas.. Also yeah, that Reshade log file is fine to keep there then, I forgot Reshade creates a log on each launch by default.

      Yeah, all the other toggles are working. Except Alien's color filter on Jungle mission. Would've really liked to reduce the gamma effect by toggling off the alien's brightened shadows, but if you're all out of ideas then I'll take what I can get. Anyway the white-out effect still occurs with HUD off so I'll work around that as well.

      Huh, yeah I'm really not sure why you're having that white-out effect either if the HUD is enabled while pulling up the menu.. I'm sorry. I'll keep fiddling with stuff and see if I can figure something out, all I can think of is that for some reason the shaders in your version of the game are for some reason different from mine, which shouldn't be a thing since we're both playing the game through Steam.

      Edit: I had one more idea. Could you try this version of the mod I just made? It uses a different shader to disable the HUD, I'm hoping that fixes your white-out issue. I also changed the shader for the Xeno Brightened Shadows toggle, see if it works. Though it's not perfect, this other shader I found that disables the effect also seems to disable the color filter and maybe some shadows.

      Thanks, the new mod version works to reduce brightened shadows while not breaking anything from before. However, I noticed this toggle removes enemy pheromone signature like the No HUD toggle. Is there any way to keep it? I play multiplayer often.

      Also, small note but the brightened shadows toggle collects certain environmental reflections/glow on the screen like dirt on a lens. Fortunately they can be wiped off by toggling off and on again, and avoided by facing a dark area before toggling.

      Yeah there's not much I can do about the latter thing, unfortunately this other shader is also controlling some other effects. I can look into the enemy pheromone thing, but I think that's attached to one of the other HUD shaders. I just wish I could figure out why the main version of this mod isn't working on your end/causing the white-out bug..

    In previous mod from AvPGalaxy No Hud we dont have markers for teammates in Multiplayer session. Can we have option for enable it in this mod?

      Where are you still seeing teammate indicators? I've used this for multiple matches since creating it and I've never seen any while taking screenshots. Hell, you can see my teammates without any indicators in the second screenshot above.

      When you play Mixed Species team Death match (MSTDM) in AVP2010 as you ally you can have every species, Aliens, Predators, Marines, whatever and every your enemies its all species too. So how do you understand where its your friends or ally? Just Team Death Match (TDM) its fine, you a marine and every other marines your ally. But you cant do same in MSTDM. In this mode, you will not be able to distinguish allies from enemies. For this i request return back indicators. In gameplay its important.

      I play a very long time without hud (AVPGalaxy version) in multiplayer and in MSTDM mode for know where is enemy its hell. Always shoot ally for check if they are friends, or enemies. 

      Play without movement detector or that sniper glitch its amazing.

      Oh, you want the indicators enabled. Right now you'll just have to toggle the HUD back on when playing that mode, or when you're not sure if someone is your teammate, I'm not sure if I can solely have the indicators enabled and nothing else.

      The last few times I've checked the server browser there's unfortunately no matches going, but there'll be a Halloween sale in the next week or two, I'd imagine AvP will be in it so that might boost it's playerbase long enough for me to get into a Mixed Species match and test which shader are doing the friendly indicators and if they're tied to too much of the HUD. If not, I can add it as a separate "HUD-lite" toggle.
