I mean it's okay.. but it's weird that it constantly goes black (I get it.. it's just.. meh). Rather wish Remedy just removed the jumpscares themselves, but at most they were willing to go for was "Low intensity" (which is still too damn much). I just don't get it. Big fan of the original Alan Wake and Control (not to mention Remedy's other games) but as much as I'd want to I just cant play Alan Wake 2 if it's gonna bombard me nonstop with cheap jumpscares..
Working for me right now up to date, just the beginning of the game so I hope it doesnt change. Make sure you keep the horror flash intensity settings on normal. Normal and low use different things and this mod only affects normal.
So I followed the directions exactly, and dragged and dropped the contents into the main game folder, and I'm still getting to jump scares. This created an entirely new directory in the main games folder. So I'm not sure how the game is supposed to detect them
I can only confirm that at least in prologue of 1.1.1 the jumpscares are unfortunately there with this mod. Will update later when progress further
update - in 1.1.1 this mod is no longer working, though you may use the new in game setting "Horror flash visual intensity" to reduce the sound and the duration of the jumpscare, but not fully removing them
