Hello everyone, if anyone comes here wondering why it keeps crashing for him, here's what i did to have it to work : People kept saying to rename version.dll to d3d12.dll, and so i did, and indeed it loaded the console, but kept crashing at launch. I couldn't play to this game without the 2 jumpscares remover mods, so i struggled a bit (... 2 hours almost) to get this mod loader to work.
So, following a comment here or in the jumpscare remover mod page, i found this repo : https://github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader with the README.MD saying that the asi loader use any of the listed libraries. In desperation, i tried renaming version.dll not to d3d12.dll but to d3d11.dll . and... it worked. Just like that. So if you struggle to pass the crashing exe at launch with the mod loader, try my solution or try renaming it in another name listed in the repo i linked. I'm not a huge expert but i guess it's something related to direct X or something...

Nuh, for me it crashes game's exe. I have fsr3 FG mod so maybe they can't work both.
I've tried different files to make it work, version.dll (as described in previous comments game reads from Win, not from game's folder, renamed to d3d12.dll, dl'ed from Ultimate ASI site different dlls, nothing worked. The ones that load U.Asi loader crash the game. --
It doesn't crash for me with fsr3 FG, but it does stop it from working (the fps gain is gone). I installed and tested fsr3 FG first though. Hopefully someone knows a way to make them compatible.
EDIT: 13.02.2024: NVM this was a ingame bug, which was fixed recently... Must have been a coincidence. Which means that this works great!
I use this together with the "Jumpscare Audio Remover" Everything seems to work, except when i try to inspect some game objects, like for example the menu in Ocean View hotel. Then im stuck on the inspect view. Both right click (Zoom) and ESC buttons stop working - so i can't exit the inspected object and i have to to shut the game down, forcing me back to the last save... Removing the files fixes the problem. Anyone else has this issue?
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but on my PC the Mod Loader only works if the dxgi.dll (from Reshade) is present. Just removing the file makes so that the Mod Loader "console" doesn't show up. Does anybody have a similar situation?
For me windows loads version.dll from system32 folder first instead the local file in the alan wake folder. Renaming it to d3d12.dll worked (for ref: github.com/ThirteenAG/Ultimate-ASI-Loader).

I've replaced handwriting-styled and typewriter-styled fonts with fonts with Cyrillic characters and swapped the English localization file with Ukrainian. However, the game starts in English, and I need to re-switch localization to load my changes.
The mod loader finds the localization file on game start: [13:41:34] [info] [alan-wake-2-mod-loader] [LooseFileHook] Found modded file: data\locale\en\string_table.bin The mod loader loads the localization file only after manulal re-switch in settings: [13:42:28] [info] [alan-wake-2-mod-loader] [LooseFileHook] Forcing filesystem to load file data\locale\en\string_table.bin
Not right now, no. For some reason, trying to immediately force the load of a loose file will lock the game up, I don't know why. So, I have to allow the game to load the packed file first, and all subsequent loads will be from the loose file.
Thank you. Unfortunately, the game only sets regular and bold font weights for non-English fonts, so it's not possible to substitute fonts to achieve the italicized display in the manuscripts or the handwriting effect in the case board. I wish such a modification will be realized someday.
Font swap works fine, but handwriting-styled and typewriter-styled fonts are redefined in the .css file located in the data\uiresources\game\world\mindplace\mindplace.ui package. If someone creates a tool to unpack/repack .ui files, the entire UI can be redesigned, as the UI is coded in HTML, JS, and CSS (іf my conclusions are correct based on what I see in the HEX editor).
As a workaround, I've just replaced fonts and swapped English localization with Ukrainian using the RMDTOC Tool

When I replace English with Chinese, all texts gone missing in game.Almost figured it out.data\fonts是普通英文字体
data\uiresources\game\fonts\characterspace案件板两种字体

字体名称格式一致放进去就行
